Help Me! :-) What Would You Like To See On A Volunteer Rescue Squad Website?

I know this is the first, and probably last time you'll see this question on YT LOLOL, but if you were to look at a volunteer rescue squad website, what would you like to see? I've decided to kinda "take over" our website because noone has really been dedicating the necessary time to it. I'm not blaming anyone, believe me, but I just thought it would be nice if it looked a little better than it does now.

I think itd be cool if you could have a section that has bios and pictures of all of the volunteers

Pictures is a nice idea. Maybe of the officers. There are too many members! But I do like that! Thanks!

I think having some simple emergency "to dos" would be helpful. For example, what to do (or not to do) for minor burns; injuries, CPR information, perhaps links to training sites, how to distinguish a true emergency, etc....

Pictures and success stories. It's always so heartharming to read about the lives after these dogs are rescued. (JMO) You are doing a good thing by taking up this challange.

Thanks for your ideas. But one little thing...I rescue people, not dogs. You gave me a good laugh, thank you! There are actually EAMTs in New York, but there aren't any where I live. At least I don't know about it!

Oops!!! I guess I didn't read your post right. Just thought that you were rescuing animals!!! But what the heck, success stories about people should be good too!!

What a great thing you are doing, Nicole, all of the suggestions so far sound great.... you might also add:

A list of common emergency type #'s

Poison Control

Electric Department

Natural Gas Companies

State Patrol

etc.

Some of those numbers are very hard to find. They are usually posted in one place in the telephone book, but it might be helpful to have them on your site too.
