No Longer a Member | Hurricaine season is here.. Today is the first day of hurricane season. People around here are still reeling from Rita and trying to repair and rebuild taking evacuation plans and preps very seriously. Having gone thru the whole thing we know much more about the importance of bring certain things with us and what we forgot in haste before. Nothing like the education of experience. |

| We are facing this hurricane season with obvious dread. We have yet to have our garage repaired from the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina because when Rita blew through here (we were on the outer edges) a month later, yet another tree was blown down - this time across our driveway. DH was cutting the tree to remove it when a piece he was cutting on flew up and hit him in the face. Rather than get the garage fixed, we spent the next six months getting his face fixed. Now 4 surgeries later, we can line a contractor up to come fix the garage for us. Although I don't wish what happened to the Gulf Coast areas during Katrina and Rita on anyone, my hope and prayer is that our area is spared this year. There are just too many people who have yet to rebuild their lives - and some that may never.
