Anyone eaten lobsters before?
 
I love eating lobsters and I was just trying to ask you guys a question, have you guys eaten lobsters before? I know some haven't eaten yet. But Im just trying to ask.

That is one thing I miss the most about VT! Being so close to Maine, the availabilty and the price of fresh lobster was excellent.

But here in western NC you can't find them very easily, and when you do, they are wicked expensive.

mmmmmm My trips to Maine, and hardshell lobster right out of the pot... WOW!!!:p OK, I am homesick now...:(

We're having Maine Lobster for Memorial day -

Growing up in New England ....after storms....Lobster Pots would wash close to shore -and we'd swim for them - yes it's called poaching sort of :D - but let me tell you - when you haul in 12 or so lobsters for an hours work - it's HEAVEN !

Sorry, unfortunately I can't send them over. I am very poor at thinking skills and hey, Im a male.

And hey, I always fry lobsters or sometimes boil or grill em. Did anyone eats the lobsters eyes?

eeeewwwww! the eyes??!! yuck! I go to maine every year and order a 4 pounder...Love em! O yes...and I don't share lol

I really wondered about your question about us dog lovers and whether we LOVE our children. we DO love our pets and our lives are BETTER for them....which does NOT take away from loving our children. Asking about lobsters eyes is a bit over the top don't you think ?

Oh, I don't eat the eyes too, but I saw a person eating the lobsters small eyes.

And I don't flame people, Im just trying to be nice here. And I apologize for any mishaps had caused.

And by the way, that is not related to this topic, so please don't diss me here.

I use them to pick my teeth when I'm finished munching on the eyes.... On Tuesdays at my local fishmonger you can buy a bucket-o-eyeballs for $1.99... antennas are extra....:D

hahahahaha ! That was a GOOD SALE ...I hope you stocked up ! Did ya freeze any for later ? I heard if you let the antennas dry you can also use them to hold up your hair in a bun...give you that Aquatic yet down to earth look

Some people said that lobsters are great for the body and mind and I tried that and it is true!

Lobsters are great for health and so does it's cousin prawn too.

Amazing how I just posted somewhere about having lobsters this weekend for Memorial Day and you JUST POSTED THIS - I have a feeling I know who you are ....and thank you so much for the laugh this morning - I needed one....:D :D :D :D

Enjoy those eyeballs - make sure you chew them up really well or when you smile they'll be stuck in your teeth....If you have dentures I guess you could scrub them really well ....but they can be hard to remove. The antennas are Yummy if you dip them in Lemon sause.

Actually - you don't need to flip me - we're having a Lobster Bake with my Bro this weekend - this is a FIRST for me in Houston....normally it's burgers and weenies - I wonder how the lobsters will taste in their hotdog rolls ?

I gotta remember to save room for those yummy eyeballs ! that will be desert

Ya know, I was going to call my husband and see if he wanted to go to Red Lobster tonight and then I see this thread. When I go there I really don't eat lobster though. It's so expensive for such a small portion that doesn't even fill me up..... I'm a crab leg girl..... Take me to an all -u-can eat crab leg buffet and I'll eat pound after pound...LOL

I don't like Maine lobster.. Only FL lobster... I love them FRIED! It's the best.. Grilled is my second favorite... I'm going to miss lobster when I leave FL...

ditto... I'm not a seafood lover.. something about people swimming with it..people pee in that water then eating it... yuck!:eek: I know they wash it but it sure smells funny...:eek: :eek: :eek:

FRIED lobster? eeewwwwww. I love lobster, but I hate having to dig around. I only eat the tails....it's all just laying there, no work involved! One of my favorite foods in the whole world!

Well I am from Maryland so by default I LOVE Maryland crabs, lobster, Alaakan crab legs, clams, scallops, shrimp etc.... And I don't swim with those things because I don't go into the ocean water I just lay on the beach:D
