Yeah, I've always wanted to work from home. You all that can are very lucky to be able to! Now only if I could do that... ;) |

When I did work it was 30-40 minutes to drive to school and then another 20 from there. Sometimes, it was more because of school buses, slow drivers on country roads, etc. Man, I don't miss it! ;) |
I'm about 5 miles from work...so about 5-10mins with traffic. Sometimes I do work from home. But usually only if I'm sick. |
I live 12 blocks from my work, takes me about 2-4 minutes.. with 2 stop signs and 2 stop lights..:D |
My commute is about 12 minutes, 5 miles. The really good part is that I only work 3 day a week. Desiree:) |

It takes me about 40 minutes to an hour -- this includes walking from my house to the train station, taking the train from Brooklyn to Manhattan and then getting off the train and walking 1 block to my job. :) The GOOD news is that I only take the train to work. Hubby drives into Manhattan and picks me up every night after work. He's such a doll. :) :) |
Almost an hour from my driveway to the town where I work. Luckily it's pretty much solid driving - no stop and go city traffic - but when I get behind an old farm truck or somebody hauling equipment it's a pain! I actually enjoy commuting to a different town for work because living in a small town like I do, it's nice to get away from all those nosy people to a place where "nobody knows your name"! I've always had people say that it must be such a pain to commute but really I don't mind because it probably takes me just as long to get to work coming from a different town as it does for some of my coworkers who live in this town to get through traffic. |
Before I retired (12 years ago) it took 20 to 30 minutes to get to my job. It is appx. 12 miles to the job. I am still on the Board for our Credit Union and now it takes 45 min to 1-1/2 hrs. to go the same distance because of all the traffic. (And if there is an accident or anything, forget it! You will just miss the meeting!!) Our area is really building, and no one is doing anything about fixing or building more roads. Traffic is a real pain! But it is still a great area to live in. You just have to adjust your departure time when you go anywhere. |
it takes me 20 minutes to get to work,, and takes me 30 minutes to get home |
If I am working in my studio at home it takes about 10 seconds....if I am working at my in-town studio it takes 3 minutes. I used to commute to Manhatten and when I stopped I said Never Again!!!!!I absolutely love working at home...I keep really bizarre hours and have to constantly deleniate my time so that I have off time and don't work an on and off schedule from morning until bedtime.Otherwise I feel like I never have a break. Recently.. I have painted six new commissions and have about six in front of me. I am currently working on Shana's Penny, Chloe, And Tinkerbell!!!!Great subjects.:) |
