Im Moving to Washington...
 
I sold my house :cheer: Im so excited although feeling afraid! not that I made a mistake, but moving from california! I guess this could be a midlife crisis move? But all my children are grown with their own families, and Im a widow so who else better to grow old with my best friend! :D I have been in Paradise/chico area just about 28 years so this is a scary move.. I have lived in Calif just about all my life and I visted Wa for two days to move my friend there, so I really can't say I know anything about the area?? I know Fasteddie lives in the Washington area, how many YTalkers in WA? I hope we can meet :D I hope to be all moved in my new home in Spanaway by the end of the month. then a month of unpacking so not to bore you any longer
I will pop in & out until Im ready to break down the computer, so until I get settled & unpacked I'll will temporary say bye for now..:wavey:

How exciting!!!!! You'll really enjoy a change of scenery! Congratulations on having the guts to go on this adventure! :)

Diva and I live in Seattle! Welcome to Washington!! There are meetups the 3rd Sat of the month. I'm sure you will love it here. You are coming in the Summer to give you time to fall in love with the area before we hit the rainy season. :D

Wow...what a new adventure! Best of luck and hope you love it up there! I have been to Washington several times and it is a very beautiful place. The most beautiful scenery...enjoy!

How exciting! I hope that your move goes well for you. Enjoy your new home and I'm sure you'll make many new friends quickly! It certainly helps having your best friend by your side...and your furry friends too!

Hi Thank you I am looking forward to meeting you! wow my very first meetup! there is no yorkie talkers in my area except for pinkmartini but I haven't heard from her in a while:confused: Once Im there I will look up the meeting place and bring Tilly and Sami. Oh Wa sounds fun already!! oh what area is the meeting located? because I have been country living for so long, I am going to have to learn how to drive the city:eek: Im almost intimidated but more on the line Of afraid:confused:

I know somewhat the feeling of moving being a scarey thing, we are facing the same decision, but are one step behind you. We can not decide where we want to move to. It is such an unsettled feeling ,knowing it would be best to move and simplify life somewhat. We too live in the country, since Jack came down with Parkinsons I find the days are really long trying to keep up with everything, and wanting to have more time to spend with him (as time goes on he will require more of my care) I wonder though about moving to the city, after living in the country for so long. Our son wants us to move close to them. We have been here in Calif. long time too, love it cept for the shakers :( Please keep us updated on how you are doing, you sound like a person that can adjust to where ever you need to. Have not been to Washington but hear it is a beautiful place.

The meetups are in Seattle, but there's a Yorkie meetup group that meets in Tacoma/Lakewood too.

CONGRATS on selling your house! It's a great time to move too, as the summer months are nice, and though it rains probably 140 days a year and about 225 cloudy days a year, the summer months are very pleasant! :)

Have a safe, relaxing move (if there is such a thing as a relaxing move)! See ya around!

Hi Patti, Im so sorry to hear about Jack! I will keep you both in thought and prayer. It was a very hard decision and I pondered? I made my decision to move by looking at the advantages & disavantages of staying or moving! I drew a line across the top of a piece of paper and a line down almost like a (T) on one side of the top line I wrote disavantages of moving & the other side the advantages! the line going down separates the Dis & adv, In my situation I had more advantages to making the move than staying! So I had to want to change my current situation and this procedure helped me to come to my decision! and I commited to following through because I was able to see the advantages! :thumbup:
you will know what to do, it is so scary to make a big judment call like this but Patti take a look at the advantages vs. disavantages and you will find the answer! good luck to you and Jack...

Hi Pat...:) thanks!! No my friend other best friend Peggy is living In st pete Fla she is my friend that has lung cancer:( by the way she is still waiting for the results?? she sounds pretty good but tired. Patti lives in spanaway I helped her move there about 2 years ago, and she has been asking me to move there for some time, but I wasn't ready to leave yet. I have known Patti for 18 years and peggy for 10 years.. I love them both :D

Yay, another soon-to-be Washingtonian . . . I am from Spokane . . which part of WA are you relocating to?

I was there just to move my friend there, two days of unloading the truck then a flight home... I figured what the heck? I still have some spirit and adventure left in me.. time to toss out the old and in with the new..:D
I think I will be making the move within 30 days or sooner, were trying to shoot for the first of June?

WOw a life change Good for you ..Hope it is a easy transition for you .Your options are you can move again if its not what you want .Gawd being grown up does lend itself to many choices doesnt it >smiles ..see ya soon

here is my friends address as the home I am buying is contingent with closing escrow here, but Its the next block over from my friend..:D
her address is 20719 8th ave ct spanaway WA 98387 SO are we close?? :confused:

Spanaway is close to Tacoma so it's not close to Tiger's mom unless you think6 hours is close!! But you are only about 30-45 minutes from all of us in Seattle!

WOOHOO another YT'er in Washington. I live in Puyallup which is about 15 minutes from Spanaway. There are also meetups in Lakewood which is the boardering city to you. They are on the same days at the Seattle Meet Ups. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you relocate or find your way around. I am in Spanaway often as 2 of my step-children live there with their mother and I pick them up at least 2-3 times a week. Once you get settled look me up or send me a PM and I'd be happy to show you around and even help you drive to the BIG CITY of Seattle.

Looking forward to meeting you and your furbabies. BTW, I have 2 yorkies, Bailey who is 1 yr. 3 mos. and Morgan who is 16 weeks.

YTalk neighbors:D at the present I think I have a thirty day escrow wait maybe sooner but it will give me more time to arrange closing escrow on the home (mobile) in the same park as my friends. And it will give me more time to pack and elimanate a lot of clutter so I can begin a Feng Shui way of living:confused: or at least im going to try to live simple :rolleyes:

Hey everyone! just a update.. Im just about there! Although I found a larger home in Puyallup! and it's offical it's mine... yay!
so I wont be moving to spananway and I will be in the same town where Baileys_Momma lives :wavey: neighbor :D I will be leaving California on the 12th of june!! I am so excited :D other than all the packing I have been doing it has been a long drawn out adventure, I knew I had alot to pack but it seems like I haven't been packed at all! so much a person can accumulate over the years and you really don't know until you have to pack it all up! Thank goodness I have children to give things away to! :rolleyes:

YIPPEE YIPPEE Another YTer in Puyallup. Oh you have no idea how excited that makes me. Can you PM me your address or cross roads and I'll see how close we are. Puyallup is a pretty small town, well not super small but I know it well enough as I was born and raised here. I'd love to be the one to help show you around. CONGRATS and keep in touch.

Good Luck on your move and adjusting to your new home. We have lived in Washington- Seattle area twice in the last 20 years. I would go back there in a heart beat- no twisting my arm!!!!!!!!! I think you will enjoy it and the scenery alone is enough to take your breath away. Don't look back- a new door is opening. Take care.

Thanks Fasteddie! just wanted to say goodby for now, I will be breaking down my computer and packing it up tomorrow night, and will be so busy finishing the last of it to get it ready for Monday.... I will arrive tuesday afternoon!

Just in time for the Seattle meetup next Saturday! ;)

Have a safe drive, Yoda's aunt and cousins just made a 20 hour journey from Anaheim to Seattle yesterday. We'll see ya around!!! :)
