Had to rush Pat to ER ... chest pains .... they are doing tests, etc. Nitro pill under tongue relieved the pain but it soon began again. They now have him on a nitro drip .... had to compensate because it caused his BP to go way too low. Had long "planning" meeting with Dr. & Cardiologist and they have a strategy so I ran home to check on my baby! She just clings to me with those big black "accusing" eyes because I ran in the door with his clothes & shoes ... guess she thinks I did something with her hero!! Will update later after hopefully finding out some results. Please keep him in your prayers!

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this! I'll be hoping and praying that Pat is okay.

Bettyeanne....I'm keeping your husband in my prayers. Hopefully this is just a scare and they'll be sending him home asap. If you need anything PLEASE LET ME KNOW ? I know you're very worried ...but under a doctors care - they can do wonders these days !! Prayers to you and your family coming right now ....

Oh sending best wishes for Patrick. Went through a similar incident with hubby....complete w/ the needle scope thing in his leg artery....which name I can not remember. Hubby and his heart were both fine. Hope Patrick's is too.

I will keep Patrick in my prayers. I hope Toto has her hero home very soon.

Many thoughts and prayers coming your way from Indiana. My hubby has had serious heart trouble for almost three years and is going for a heart cath on the 5th. The other tests showed at least two major blockages with decreased blood flow to his heart. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do.

Thank you all so very much!! Just got home & fed this sad faced baby. They are not through testing to finalize and plan where to go from here. He has an itty bitty hole between two of his heart chambers [birth defect .... we found out several years ago when he had a stroke while we were in Chicago ... it was so tiny and presented no problem and had no lasting effects from the stroke]. A few years later, in Chattanooga, he appeared to be having a heart attack ... they took him in to do a heart cath and were prepared to go ahead and put in a stint [they were so certain that it was needed] ... it was not and he has been fine. Then this February it happened again here in CO ... they diagnosed it as esophageal spasm. Today, as we were getting ready to leave for a much needed little mini vacation to Denver for a few days and the Yorkie meetup on Sunday, it happened again! Since the symptoms are the same as a heart attack, we had been instructed to go straight to the ER if it happened. Thank God we went because it is his heart and their early conconclusion is that a blood clot slipped through the little hole and instead of a stroke like in Chicago, the clot went to his lung. They also think that this is what happened in February and the esophageal spasm was misdiagnosed!! I just kept thinking ... I could have lost him!! I am just praying that these new doctors are as good as they appear and that the tests they do in the morning will give them correct answers and they can fix this!! He is feeling so much better and just wants to come home!!

Please pray for these doctors ... Patrick is my best friend, I just feel so lost. I am so thankful for you all ... you feel like family and you make me so feel so much better ... thank you so much for caring! Sorry this is so long, I will update you tomorrow after I meet with the cardiologist.

Bettyeanne, it sounds like he has the best cardiologists and God on his side! I am sure he will be fine! Thanks for keeping us posted and you be sure and take care of yourself and Toto! That little girl needs her mommy in good working order right now! I pray that God will continue to direct the Dr.'s and guide them in a proper diagnoses and treatment of Patrick! I also pray that He will grant you peace at this trying time. (((((HUGS TO YOU)))))

Bettyeanne - Thanks SO MUCH for the update - I was sure thinking of you last night and wow - you've been lucky so far....That must be very scary hearing that and ALL THE BEST TO YOU AND PATRICK ! It sounds like the doctors have a handle on him now and preventing something is the way to go now - BIG sigh of relief !

and Gina....GOOD IDEA ! I'm going to do that tonight with a STAR too. I was there for the last one and it really was a great feeling knowing others were doing the same thing at the same time - 9 pm and I'll be there tonight !

Yep, Gina and Villette, sounds like a STAR night needs to happen again, maybe this Sunday, it is a good feeling.
