How about a gift certificate to a Tae Kwon Do class nearby? Is he into stuff like that? They start those kids out pretty early these days. Or if his mom is getting him the bike, you could get him a really nice helmet, knee and elbow pads to wear while riding to keep him safe. |
I agree with Mustangbee - get the crayola outside art toys and add a savings bond. OR - give him the crayola toys with a certificate that's good for one day of fun with his aunt. Then take him shopping and let him pick what he'd like and throw in lunch. He'd enjoy the quality time spent with you and you would know he's picking out something he really wants - a day you'll both not forget:) |
Little 4 yr. olds Parties...awww... Quote:
It would be pretty special of his Auntie to give him saving bonds along the way...and a special fun gift with it... Later, when he is older..he will see you with new eyes....and know just how much you loved him!!!;) |
how about the new nintendo DS or...........portable dvd system....take him to Disneyland.... |
My kids love the heelie shoes that they have out now, and my son has a nintendo DS and loves it. He can raise like 7 dogs on that machine and I have trouble just training Nelly. |
Wow what great ideas. Ok, no on the nintendo, my sister lets him play with education video games, I like the idea of shopping with auntie. He always loves that. He calls me frantically thursday night asking if tomorrow is friday and what time I'm coming do he's prepared. Him and I have a special bond. I like the savings bond idea. I will run that by my sister. Thanks guys. I knew I could count on some great ideas. |

Savings Bonds are great, I get them all the time. By the time he's 18, he could have enough put down on a car. My Grandmother would send me money for the boys. It was really hard to get them something, because they already had it. So I would buy them Bonds. Well they were very happy when they turned 18, because I handed them to the boys, and told them it was a gift from their Great Grandmother. Let's just say, they were VERY happy boys     |
