I need ideas!! My nephew's 4th birthday is the end of the month. I don't know what to get him. The kid has everything. Any gift ideas? I already took him to see Wiggles Live and that was one of his gifts. I was planning to spend about $100 for this gift. He's smart, and gets bored with kiddie stuff, so any ideas? |
I don’t have any kids, but yesterday I saw this commercial with kids playing outside on the driveway, with all kinds of new, outdoor, art toys. It was by Crayola(?) I think. I instantly thought if my niece when I saw it. But they are paints and chalk type materials that the kids use in these toys, that can be washed off the driveway with water—they’ve just taken sidewalk chalk to the next level…I thought it was cool…and secretly wanted to buy myself some to play with. lol |
lool..I saw those too and I will probably get him those, but they are inexpensive, I think like $10 or 15 so I want to get him something else too. Great minds think alike huh? |
Best Buy has a really cute kid computer. Lots of learning games, keeps them busy forever.:) :) :) |

Is he into Thomas the Tank Engine? If so, a new car or accessory is always a winner, if he doesn't have any then a small starter set would probably be a big hit! |
He has a laptop computer for kids and isn't into Thomas the Tank. My nephew is 4 going onto 18. He's not interested in kiddie stuff for some reason..lol |
what about a game for the computer? you could ask your sister in law if you could get him a chamelion...sp...or something like that if he is into animals. the other day at petsmart there was these little froggies and chamelions and things that were like only 20 dollars. you would have to ask firstof course |
OK, I got it! A PUPPY!!!!!!!! Every kid love's puppies!!!!:D :D :D :D |
How about a bicycle? My grandson is into guns. He just loves cap guns, anything that makes a sound. He also loves tractors. How about a pedal tractor? |

OK, kids have no idea how much thins cost, so I'd go with the Crayola toy, and add a savings bond to his card! That should do it!:D :D :D |
You could get him a go-cart, 4 wheeler, or dirt bike! That would be a big hit if mom says it's ok!:D |

I don't know how much those are so it could be over your budget! lol!:p |
How about a gift certificate to a Tae Kwon Do class nearby? Is he into stuff like that? They start those kids out pretty early these days. Or if his mom is getting him the bike, you could get him a really nice helmet, knee and elbow pads to wear while riding to keep him safe. |
I agree with Mustangbee - get the crayola outside art toys and add a savings bond. OR - give him the crayola toys with a certificate that's good for one day of fun with his aunt. Then take him shopping and let him pick what he'd like and throw in lunch. He'd enjoy the quality time spent with you and you would know he's picking out something he really wants - a day you'll both not forget:) |
Little 4 yr. olds Parties...awww... Quote:
It would be pretty special of his Auntie to give him saving bonds along the way...and a special fun gift with it... Later, when he is older..he will see you with new eyes....and know just how much you loved him!!!;) |
how about the new nintendo DS or...........portable dvd system....take him to Disneyland.... |
My kids love the heelie shoes that they have out now, and my son has a nintendo DS and loves it. He can raise like 7 dogs on that machine and I have trouble just training Nelly. |
Wow what great ideas. Ok, no on the nintendo, my sister lets him play with education video games, I like the idea of shopping with auntie. He always loves that. He calls me frantically thursday night asking if tomorrow is friday and what time I'm coming do he's prepared. Him and I have a special bond. I like the savings bond idea. I will run that by my sister. Thanks guys. I knew I could count on some great ideas. |

Savings Bonds are great, I get them all the time. By the time he's 18, he could have enough put down on a car. My Grandmother would send me money for the boys. It was really hard to get them something, because they already had it. So I would buy them Bonds. Well they were very happy when they turned 18, because I handed them to the boys, and told them it was a gift from their Great Grandmother. Let's just say, they were VERY happy boys     |
