Donating YT 30K Club Member | I was a little bit! I have been taking care of my 86 year old parents for 5 months which I am happy to do but my brothers and sister kind of expect me to do everything because i lost my job so i am "not working". So yesterday we rented out the party room where my parents live and ordered Chineese in. Well I had to organize everything and order and pick up the food. I even bought my sister some chocolates for Mother's Day. Well no one said Happy Mother's Day to me , not even my mother. When I asked my husband if he knew it was Mother's Day and he said yes but you're not my mother so he never even wished me a Happy Mother's Day. But the party was nice and my dtr got me a beautiful plant and a gift card to Home Depot to buy plants for my garden. But Cali makes it all worth while and she gave me lots of kisses.

| I was very disappointed yesterday. Only 2 out of my 4 kids said happy mothers day to me. My husband and children thought that I should cook and clean all day! When I asked my husband what he was fixing for dinner he said he wasn't and wanted to know what I was cooking. Then after that he demanded a hair cut! Can you believe that? All in all I wish they would've just all gone away and left me to cook and clean by myself. |

Im sorry that happened to you Patti! Your the sweetest person! Don't feel bad though. I got to clean house and have a migraine all day. And I didn't get a card or anything. But the best thing was when my boys just came up and gave me a kiss and said happy mothers day! That made my day!

| Sad to say, I was. My kids weren't into it, but my friend made up for it. He spent the day with me and took me to lunch & dinner.

| I'm so sorry for any of you who did not have a good Mother's Day. A lot of men just don't get it. I have 6 kids, they live all over, and my son has been angry with me and has not been replying to my e-mails for a couple of months. I wondered if he would call, and he did. I think his wife may have motivated him. But I got 6 phone calls ad spent the day with my yorkies. So it was a nice day. |

| I had to work all day and then got hit with a storm and my day was getting worse as it went along. but ...... Cindy0721 came along with a couple nice gifts and a big glass of iced drink. wasn't that nice of her? she is such a thoughtful person. I never get upset on Mothers day. (even tho I want so badly to call my mother who passed away a couple yrs ago). I generally get a phone call from my kids and my X-step son too. that is all I need. Just to hear they are doing good. I sit back and remember when they were babies and how lucky the world is that I provided such great kids. My son, being a man, sometimes don't call but if I dont hear from him I will make the call. It is ok. If they were not to call me on mothers day, I give my self enough pats on the back on their behalf because I know I did the best I could do to provide them a happy life. They are happy ..so ... I am happy.

| Well, I was...but then I wasn't. I had to go to work... and then when I got back my younger son had gotten me the cutest card and a gorgeous clematis. My older son, nothing, not even a phone call But the really good part was that my husband, who doesn't get me anything or do anything usually (same old..."your not my mother") well he had HAND MADE me a card from my furbaby Cooper. He stamped his paw prints on it and everything...It was the cutest thing!! So out of the 3 boys, 2 came through, so all in all I can't complain

| I had a sad and sick Mother's Day. I lost my mom in july 0f 2000 to renal cancer so I was very depress cause I miss her so much. Also I have being on a flare(fibro, IBS and cfs) ,so I haven't being feeling well. I spent all day sleeping. My husband that always cook didn't even do that. We had sandwiches for lunch and dinner. Well, He did made breakfast. My kids woke me early thou to tell me Happy Mother's Day. I only got 2 cards one from my 5 yr old that made me a card at school and one ecard from my sis. My husband did say that he tried to charge a gift but the card was max out. My family did called to wish me a happy day. Im so sorry that you all had a disappointed Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day from Gucci and me. Hugs. |

| Sucked for me too... I didn't get any gifts or cards either from any of my kids. Makes me wonder if I have done such a crappy job raising them they don't care to recognize it... Nah, just feeling sorry for myself. My son did call me around 3:30, just as I was getting really bummed out, and my daughter told me she did get me a card, she just wanted to give it to me in person and she was too sick Sunday to do so. I am sorry that so many others had a crappy day, but you know misery does love company!!

| I just wanted to let you know that I had a great Mother's Day. My furbabies got me up at 5:12am. I had to wade through puddles to feed the horses, clean out stalls, feed the furbabies and cat, try to clean up the water mess (my roof is leaking ). My grandson who we have had since he was 3 days old gave me a dozen roses, our son took my husband and I out to lunch and a play, all within steps of parking (husband can't walk far due to COPD ) he planned everything for us. My daughters all gave me cards, very touching ones at that. Took a driving tour of the neighborhood, checking on the ponds and streams. Most of our roads are closed due to all the rain.. So overall I can say I had a wonderful day, spent with my family. |
