Oh Kristy! You will have lots of kids one day and you will enjoy everyone of them! I can't wait to have kids and cant imagine my life without them! |
I always laugh at Megan because I say she doesn't like kids. When she was complaining about wanting money my sister said try babysitting. Before she could say anything I said "Megan doesn't like kids". She says "I like kids, I just don't want to be responsible for them". We were at my great nepew's birthday party tonight, my neices have 4 little ones between them and it's just babies, babies, babies. I was loving it! I've always enjoyed little ones. But I think I'm getting less patient as I'm getting older! |
I used to be the same way, then I had my own kids. |
Motherhood is beautiful, to the young and single women.. Imagine how much you love your furbabies...Well dulicate or triple it, it is amazing when you give birth and they put that little bundle in your arms..Your in ore as you count the little fingers and toes and can't believe this little angel is yours. Motherhood does not come with instructions and as they grow you grow with them and do your best and every stage is exciting...Its a job I am proud of... and someday I will adore my grandkids. Sorry if motherhood is not for all, everyone is entitled to their feelings and wants.. Children do bring happiness in this life... and so do yorkies... Gina |
....just keep in mind that children lose their halos and grow into young adults! :thumbdown |
Yeah, but then they bless you with grandchildren!!! 1 Attachment(s) Quote:

I wasn't very fond of kids growing up either....maybe that was because my sister & I are 7 years apart & I hated her when she was born!:D But once I got pregnant & had my daughter, everything changed! I can't imagine my life without her. I'm still not too fond of other people's kids, but of course mine is perfect!! HAHA! j/k! :D |

Speaking of the decision not to have kids - or not to have kids YET.... I found this really well-written article on MSN today via a friend of mine and I really really like what it has to say. http://lifestyle.msn.com/FamilyandPa...54101>1=8174 |
That's so funny! My youngest daughter made up her mind about a month after Cherish (my niece) came to stay with us, that she does not want kids when she gets older. LOL. She used to love when we baby sit her when she was a baby. But now that Cherish is here 24/7, Val gets so upset and is so impatient with her. She's always asking me,,, "Mom, was I a brat like her when I was 3?" I just say, "of course not! But Timmy was!" My son doesn't think it's funny, but it's so true. I tell him all the time. It's a good thing your so handsome! Aaaawww kids. |

Your grandson is too precious. I'm trying to tell her it's so much different when they are your own! |
Oh I know... Even now at only 10 months, his little personality is already forming and let me tell you...he has one nice little temper in him already! But that is our revenge on our children...we get to tell them "yeah, that is what you get for putting me thru what you did!" :D |

Loved that article, Val! Defintiely a must-read! |
Feel better, Kristy? LOL. I have a daughter, know people with and people who don't want them and never have. I know mothers who I think should've never had children. Personally, I think children are a riot. Some of my biggest belly laughs have come not from adults, but outta the mouths of babes as they say. You guys think I'm a smarta$$, I have a four year old neice that throws sarcastic jabs back at me....I am told I am the only person she does this to....wonder why? But she is funny as h-ll. :D |
Kristy and everyone else!! I so admire you for being able to be honest and SAYING that you don't like kids, lolol!!! I remember years ago as a woman if you said such a thing, people would consider you a lunatic!! It just wasn't done, goodness NO!! I was the oldest of six kids. I had to do-for all the time, and when my mom went back to work when I was 12, it was my responsibility to come right home after school and take care of the kids, clean the house, and make dinner. At 12. So I grew up HATING kids!!!! NO WAY was I going to have ANY when I was an adult. And I stuck to that promise until my mother's whining for a grandchild convinced me to have Darek! I am really glad I did, as he is my shining light, and I cannot imagine any other 25 year old that is as cool as my son. (except maybe some of my YT friends, lol) HOWEVER, when I am getting on a plane, or sitting down in a restaurant, if there are ANY kids anywhere near me, I am in agony!! I cannot stand whiny crying kids. Babysitting my grandkids can be a NIGHTMARE for me, lol, if they are in a bad mood!!! But I deal with it. Don't deny a chance to change your mind someday!:p You may be glad you did! |
