If you decide on one of those, choose the Sony. However, I am a professional photographer (all digital) and I vouch for the quality of Canon cameras (both lenses and camera make/body, etc.) - and for the same amount that you'd pay for any other brand of camera, you're getting more quality for your money with Canon, trust me.

I'd go with Valerie's suggestion. She's a professional, and honestly takes gorgeous pictures, lol, now I kinda wished I'd waited and posted the same question. I love my camera, but now I'm wondering how much better the Canon would have been.
