Missy i'm glad you didn't go to jail..you'll have to let me know what happened.. |
Glad everything worked out. Here are some tips that I have figured out. Once I got pulled over for going 83 in a 65. He let me go. The first thing you should do, is if you were wrong, admit it right away and apologize. The next tell the judge/policeofficer/boss/whoever what you will do in the future to prevent it from happening again. If it is your first offense, tell them that it was just a mistake, the first time it has ever happened, and will never happen again. Speeding tickets generally are preventative unless there was an accident. So you can try to convince the person you have learned your lesson without the ticket. Never yell at the person, call them a liar, tell them that they are wrong, or be combative. Most cops aren't bad guys and they would love a traffic stop to go as smoothly as possible. My mom once yelled at an officer for giving her a ticket for not stopping at a stop sign and she threw down the ticket and almost got another one for littering. I have used this method for a parking ticket as well. Usually people don't get out of parking tickets. Please don't go nuts speeding or doing anything dangerous. I'm just letting you all know if you find yourself in situations that I have been in. |
