After you get it all planned out and everything bought, you find some dummy to dig the hole for you. :p

Gold fish do nicely in them, but remember to take them out in the winter or you end up with fishcicles. :eek:

At least you do if you live in Iowa. the voice of experience. LOL

i found a water heater i have no room to bring them in ! lol
wow this stuff is expensive !!
where can i get the liners cheap there over 100 for plastic any alteratives ?

oh its gonna be pretty small mabee 2 or 3 fish but mabee 5-7 inches long (fish)

We made a pond in my backyard a few summers ago. We live in NY also. Well if you plan to keep the fish outdoors year around you have to make sure it's DEEP enough so that when the water freezes it doesnt freeze your fish. Just the top layer. You think the pond stuff is expensive....wait'll you check the prices of Koi...those suckers can run you $200 a piece. :fainted:

How 'bout you get a nice bowl and sit it on the TV...the dogs can watch them... :D

You could go ice fishing then ;) Or serve up Gorton's of Gloucester frozen fish filets....

i found a heater for it thats not too much money and we dont need it now since it just started summer :D

i found some large goldfish that would be perfect also some snails for algy

we have a fighter fish brownie LOVES him but he lives in the bathroom cause of the cats they wanna fry him lol

We have koi in my backyard. Yes, some of them cost $200. :eek: My mom loves them. We have about 30 fish in our pond. Some are as big as my thigh!!~ And I'm miss thunder thighs so that's saying ALOT!~ :)

Lenora, good luck! I've always wanted a fish pond..but the cats are so stupid they'd just fall in. ;)

Mine is not a liner, I didn't trust my knowledge enough to put in a liner pond. Mine is a hard plastic type and very easy to install. I think they start at around $40.00 at Home Depot. Like I said mine holds 270 gallons and it cost around $125. (don't really remember)

yea i found a 50 gallon one for 40 i think we will prob go for that since the liners cost more than that lol
