For the 40 and over crowd only For my 200th post, I decided a forum for the 40 and over crowd was in order. A place to discuss our every last winkle, aches and pains, how we can’t sit on the floor without using our arms to help us rise, how an 8X magnifying mirror is just plain frightening, and yes, I know my breasts are perky, hell I paid enough money for them 15 years ago and the plastic surgeon told me they would be, until death do us part, not. Thong undies quite frankly aren’t all that comfy, and my ass isn’t quite what it used to be, although I do exercise, I’m finding the butt lifters at Nordstroms work well. The $2000.00 dollars I paid last year for hair extensions should have been invented when I was young, they drove me nuts, and any added weight on my head caused more wrinkles, no doubt. Now let’s talk about the tummy, what’s up with that? Does all the perkiness in your breasts land in your tummy or what, cause my tummy lately is rather perky, which used to be flat. Can you even see the eye shadow above my eyes, or just the shadow below my eye? I’m in my late 40’s, WHO KNEW? |
Sweet Pea .... enjoy all those little "surprises" .... wait 'til you hit 63 and you'll really be surprised!!! :lol tears |
Well you know Bettyeanne, I hope the years are as good to me as they have been to you, as I adore your posts, you are still young! :) |

I think I started to feel like an old hag when my one and only child left for college. Many who know me or have just met me would not think I am over 25 years old as I am petite, still looks like I have the body of a "virgin" and don't dress like a big mama . . .but there is no denial I belong this thread    . . . now that I have Tiger in my life, I feel like I need to be young again to keep up with his energy for life . . . |
Well I have to say this might just be a good idea.... Do you often wonder why as you get older that you start to ache all over.....heck it's like I woke up one day and here are the wrinkles, the gray hair and oh yes the dark circles under the eyes.... I can only imagine what is next..... I would although like to have a tummy tuck, but am way too affraid of surgery of any kind. So I guess I'll have to keep this tummy. All in all people guess me way younger than what I am, which is good but now signs are really showing...HUMMMMMMMM  We all have our little :secret: and mine is I am not as old as I said on here in. Just thought I would share that little tid bit of info....ok ok I lied on my age, usually people say they are younger but on here I said I am older than I am.....so who cares... |
I feel your pain..... I love it! Your posting that is.....sounds like I am right there with you. I had a really funny example of what over 40 has done to me.....but, since you all dont know me too well yet......I don't want to scare off my new friends with my odd sense of humor.....must be the buckeye still in me... All I can say is......keep on keeping on..... :D |
This is to funny LOL... I'm right there with ya. I'll just add a few LOL. Menopause, hot flashes, and the eyes are going LOL.. Everyone says i look younger then i am, but i'll trade for there body LOL. I guess theres always plastic surgery. I am thinking about it. Good thread!!!!!! :D :D :D |

This is hilarious!!! You're not the only one in your late 40's. If I go into every wrinkle, ache, and pain, we'll have one really looooong post!!! Some people age gracefully and others land with a loud boom!!! That's me!!! My hair has gray highlights, and no, they're not from the beauty shop.....they're natural. The wrinkles around my eyes I like to think add character to my face and if you look past the wrinkles you'll see a hint of a sense of humour in my blue eyes. The age spots on my hands and arms I'm hoping that someday they'll run together and I'll have a really nice tan!! The weight that I have added through the years I use as a life preserver when I go swimming. I have days where I absolutely cannot add two numbers together and get the same answer twice. (I had this happen recently too!) The memory has gotten really bad. I finally remember names that I couldn't think of... the next day. I forget everything!!!! I have Post-it notes all over the house (which reminds me I need to add another one!!) I wake up in the night throwing off my covers only to turn around and pull them back on. There are sooo many other things and if I could remember them I'd write about them too. I guess you'll have to wait until tomorrow!!! |

At 53 I am starting to feel and look my age! Menopause was a killer! The only thing sadder is watching my 86 year old parents struggling to get through every day. It makes me sad to see them failing and makes me want to enjoy the life I have now becasue it nly gets worse. |
