| Tourists attractions in San Diego My husband and I will be spending a couple of days in San Diego for Vacation in May. Can anyone from that area recommend fun things to do? For a little help we are not big partiers. We just like to walk around and look at stuff. I'm already making big plans to go to the San Diego Zoo, I'm very excited about that.

| my friend just moved from La Jolla to Santa Monica. the weather out there is *awesome*. in may, don't expect it to be too hot, it'll be warm though. even though you said you weren't a "partier", you should check out the gaslamp district anyway. there are TONS of lounges, clubs, upscale bars, shopping, restaurants, etc. have fun! edit: http://www.gaslamp.org/

| - rent a couple of bikes and bike down ocean beach and pacific beach. - take a trip out to coronado and check out the hotel del coronado - do a little shopping at seaport village - have lunch overlooking the ocean at george's of the coves in la jolla - while you're there, check out the shops down prospect st. in la jolla and check out the views from the coves - if you're there during the weekdays, check out ole madrid in the gaslamp, they have good food and free samba lessons on wednesday nights and a live samba band to follow - even if you're not a partier, check out gaslamp district and walk down 5th st. lots of restaurants and shops - have a picnic in mission bay - walk around and hang out at balboa park - see an old school western town in old town - be a little bohemian in hillcrest - malls worth checking out: horton plaza and fashion valley mall and i think that's all i can think of off the top of my head for now. |
