She-ra's Mama got me thinking with her post on who's the youngest YTer! I got to thinking I wonder who has been married the longest! I know some have been a long time! And I think that is awesome! So I was just wondering! I have only been married for almost five years so I know it is not me! LOL! But who is it? Hhhhmmmmmmmmmm............ :D

It's not me either, I've only been married 4-months (this time anyways) LOL

I've been married for 31 years--32 years in June. I know that there are people on here that have been married longer than I have.

Married 24 with him for 36 years

I have been married for 9 months! So I know that its not me!

I have being married 14 yrs.
DIana wow, 32 years. I hope I make it to 30. Sometimes he drives me nuts, :rolleyes: . Still love him.

well Paula as you know I have been married for 4 years on April 13!!!! We have been together for almost 8 years! Who ever would have thought we would make it this far! But we are still kicking!

In September we will have our 15th anniversary (better be some good jewelry in there somewhere!), but we lived together for 5 years before we got married...

Long enough that now I've been married longer than I was ever single :rolleyes: 23 years......

If I do the combo it's 10 and 11. got 21 years. Maybe I'll just stop now while I am ahead.

I think I will do the combo too.. 1st time 22 yrs... 2nds 10. So thats 32 years all together. I met my 2nd husband on the internet. Been together 13 years. :D

I will be married 5 years on the 23rd of June! I have on my wedding tape a bet of some people asking how long they thought it was going to last! They don't know that they were caught on tape! But to them Hahahaha it has been 5 so far and it will be many more!

It's 18 years for me on June 18th. Why he hasn't left skid marks yet, I'll never know!

3 year wedding anniversary in aug
14 year dateaversary this past feb

I will be married 9 years April 12. I have been with him for 10.5. It has had its MAJOR ups and downs but it's so worth it! :D :D

My husband and I will celebrate 4 years on Aug. 24th.

My grandparents had been married 65 years, together for 72 years when my grandmother died in Feb..
-72 years can you imagine, I doubt I'll even live that long.

14 years together come July 4th and 7 years married come May 28th...woo hoo. Suprising we haven't killed each other yet...lol. He really is my best friend.

To those of you that have been married longer...way to go and you are an inspiration in todays day and age when these stars and assorted folks think marriage in nothing but an easy revolving door. You are a great example for those of us newer married and newby married.

That is what I was trying to say! You are so right so many people now days just give up when things go alittle wrong! My hubby and I have been together 5yrs this past Sept. and as I said in a prev. post married for 5 on June 23rd! And it has been hard but we make it work b/c we love eachother! Sometimes it is hard but we are here for the long hall! He (like so many of you have said about your hubby's) is my Best Friend and then Heather! Love ya girl!

It will be 14 years for us in July. Wow that's a long time. Didn't ever think I'd be with anyone that long. But he sure keeps thinks interesting.

Being Best Friends is the way it should be. My husband and I are so close, and always have been. The key to a good marriage is always be open and honest. Never go to bed mad, If you feel something is wrong, fix it. There are so many people who get married, and before you see them again the marriage is over. Its so sad. Our son who we are so very proud of told us he would not get married unless he knew for sure they would be Best Friends like his Mom & Dad. Most of his friends parents have split up. I have a group of friends that have all been married over 20 years, we do lunch once a month. Just last month we were talking about how many people get married for the wrong reasons. You really have to look at it before you take the big step, it's for the rest of your life. To be honest with you, my Mother didn't want me to marry my husband. She said I would be just like my sisters. They have all been married two or three times. I have never been nor will I ever be like them.
My Grandmother who had been married for 65 years told me to follow my heart. I knew he was the man for me. So I took his name, we have five children, two grandchildren, and 25 years, I'm sure I will be happy forever.

I was married 15 then got divorced. :( bummer, I'd be hitting 19 years this year.

WOW I'm impressed :) That is so nice to see, people that make marriage work and are still happy with it!

I guess after all these years she found her Prince :) :) :)

My grandmother who is in her 70 or 80's remarried in November of last year. He is a good man, around 5 yrs younger than her. They are very happy. :)
