The Neuro Surgeon Called
 

I spoke with the Neuro surgeon. Here is his report on Katie and the Baby situation.

Katie's blood pressure is running pretty low right now and they are monitioring this. The doctors feel that the blood vessel is abnormal due to pressure on one of the nerves that is in her neck that is causing the swelling in her brain. This is one of the reasons that kept her going back to the doctors in the first place.. she kept complaining that she felt pressure in her head.

The doctors feel this is a complication from the pregnancy and will be watching her closely. At this time they feel that Katie and the baby are not in any immediate danger. They will be discussing the method of treatment if any can be given with keeping the baby in mind. We are not sure when she will be released from the hospital. Her obgyn and the neuro surgeon have decided it will be in Katie's and the babys best interest to due a c-section when it is time to deliver to be able to monitor the Katies blood pressure and not to induce anymore pressure on the blood vessel, a precautionary measure.

I told Katie to light things up a bit for her today that she should request a masseuse to help release that nerve in her neck or a chiropractor. I did manage to get her to laugh a bit this evening.

I would like to thank all of you for joining in the prayer circle for my family. I have contacted both of our churches to put us on the prayer lists. I would also like to thank of all you that have taken the time to call me, PM'ing me ,sent me beautiful emails and all the support in this lovely posts and poems on this thread. I will share all of this with Katie tomorrow. Thank you again everyone you just don't know how much this means to us...
