She has the perfect 7 year old room!!!! I wouldn't change a thing. Only make changes if she wants to, not because of someone else. It's her space, and she should have it the way she wants it. Some people just want kids to grow up way too fast. I give your daughter a    And she keeps it nice and neat too!!!! :D :D :D :D |
Thanks everyone, my 7 year old is a little immature, and it is my fault completely. So I thought maybe my friend was right, but you all made me feel so much better. When I say immature I mean it. I am in no way upset by it. I totally baby her. I have a daughter that will be 12 next month and she has grown way to fast and has always been very mature for her age, so I try to keep Brianna little. Sometimes this is good and sometimes bad. Her teacher says she is a little immature but not to a point I should be concerned. Anyway, I just thought I would ask, I wasn't sure if it was just me trying to keep her a baby or if my friend was just nuts. (she's nuts) Thanks again, I knew I could count on you all.... |

I think it's suitable for her age. :) |

I had to go back and look at what I thought was wallpaper. Is that what you fingerpainted? I love interesting wall finishes and have glazed a few rooms in my house. How did you do the fingerpainting? |

Main thing is, if your daughter likes it, keep it. Let her pick out a new comforter and don't worry about what other people think. She has to live in it, and she should be the one who decides when she wants it changed. |
I think it's perfect! It reminds me of my daughter's room. She loves Hello Kitty! :) |
I think it's very cute. I spy a Rainbow Brite :D :D :D :D The only problem I would see is if she doesn't like it. |
I think the room is just perfect for a 7 year old. My daughter is in the fourth grade and loves her pink room. She has her american girl dolls on a pink shelf/book case. Her Hello Kitty alarm clock., HK phone, and HK TV. I think we have to have everything Hello Kitty makes. Ask your daughter how she feels. But It looks like a girls room to me. |

Yes the walls are what I finger painted and it didn't take long at all. I painted the room white and then painted pink and yellow finger swipes one direction and then green and purple then opposite direction. All pastel colors, but I did my nephews room in primary colors and just did them further apart. I got my inspiration from a comforter I bought her from JCPenney's. A month after I finished her room she got sick and puked all the comforter. I have a week stomack and my husband was out of town for the weekend and my house keeper doesn't do laundry so I just pitched it. |
I love it!! Reminds me of my room growing up!! |

Btw, I love Hello Kitty. I think I loved her more than my daughter ever did  |
I love it. My daughter is almost 9 but she has many of the same things in her room as your daughter , add a play station 2 to the picture and a bigger bed for her friends to stay over, and they pretty much have the same thing going there! I also love the little yorkie head peeking in the side of the last picture! :) |
...and she still picks Disney Princesses...so I will enjoy and cherish the innocence while I can. Bren[/QUOTE] My oldest is 16 and it's STILL all about the Disney Princesses. :p |
it seems to be appropriate for her age. I have stuff in my freezer older than 7...(I am not proud of this) |
When I was 8 I had a strawberry shortcake canopy bed and everything to match, so I think its perfect, besides I looooove Hello kitty right now! lol. :D |
aww, I think its PERFECT for her age!!! Not babyish, and she is a kid afterall. Its not like she's 15 or something! Besides, my friend Florence and I...we're still Hello Kitty lovers. :p |

I think it is a perfect little girls room for the record. |
I think its just perfect for a girl her age. In a few years she may grow out of some of the toys. But the walls are great and can even go with an older child. |
Babyish???? No, not at all. It looks very much like a little girl's room, and I think 7 still qualifies as a little girl. It thnk it's adorable. What was she thinking??? |
I would have LOVED that room when I was 7, I don't think it's babyish at all!! When I was little I did not get to choose how my room looked as my parents - aka my single mom w/ 2 kids - thought it was a "waste" of money since it would have to get re-done everytime I outgrew a phase :( Poor me had a yellow room till I was a teen and my older sister got to have the pink room - I was so jealous of her. Now that I have moved in with my bf, my mom has moved but I still have a bedroom at her house which I am re-doing PINK since the room has to be painted. Heh heh, I get my PINK room after all! :p |
ask her I don't think it matters at all what anyone else thinks. I think if your daughter likes it that is all that matters. It is her room and she is the one that is spending the most time in it. Kids are just like us, they have their own opinions and tastes. It looks beautiful! If she is happy, don't worry! What a great mom to be thinking about it though! |
it looks like 7 yr old lives there.......... but my god, i dont know what i would do about the toys! Looking at that many toys makes my stomach turn! I certainly didnt have that much to play with when i was little |
Looks fine for a little seven year old girls room to me. Now if it was little seven year old boys room, then maybe I'd worry... |
Yes it is really babyish. Maybe ask her if she wants to change it. If she doesn't like pink anymore I think mint green or blue would be cute for a child. |
