Real or not~ Quote:
I was being my smart self. A real show person has show dogs they have mostly bred themselves on a regular basis. And then there are what we real show people call wanna be's. They brag off other's pedigree's and might have one or two champions either bought or finished by a handler. Something non show people are not in on with our little lingo. Sorry but I am on a couple of other lists and hard to keep them all straight. :) Jumping from one to another today I am exhausted! I need a break from lists again. So I will try and check in every now and then and post so no one thinks I came posted and disapeared. But sometimes life just gets to busy and things get put on the back burner... :) |
Congratulations to those who have been showing and winning. Frankly, I had noticed that there were several times when info was given that was helpful about different aspects of coat care, showing, traits, etc and that was not happening for a while. Let's see-I am not sure what Irene meant when she said fingers pointing at her..The reason for the thread was to ask"Where are they?" and the answer seems to be they are not far away.... |

We are not just very busy. But if anyone ever needs us they can just email us we are always willing to help anyone with the knowledge we have obtained over the years that we have to share. |
So, how do REAL show breeders start out? Doesn't everyone have to start somewhere whether they buy a dog and finish? JMO...I don't feel that this is very fair. Many show breeders that are just starting out purchase dogs from the more seasoned show breeders and get their start there. Eventually, they breed and finish their own pups but I would still consider them a show breeder anyway. Maybe some people just forget how they got their start. just my opinion. |
Well...I for one am glad to see posts again....I love reading all the information shared and am glad no one was 'run off' .... It's all good right ? |

So, which is it...just showing and championing a dog or having to produce pups with 60-70 champions in their pedigree? I need more Dr. Pepper this morning! |
