What about a credit card? Then just pay it off before the bill comes.

dont have a credit card :( BUT i am getting paid in the morning from my daycare ppl so ill have all but 15.00 BUT than I got into the change i have and have 15.00 in quaters and you know what im going to put it all in a ziplock bag and take it up there....I hope they like all the quarters the stupid B&*^$%@. :D :D :D :D

BTDT-all through college I waitressed or bartended, and many a deadline day, I would be waiting when they opened the door to pay my entire bill in singles. They don't like it, but they take it! :p

hehe....i got paid by my DC parents this morning..all but one and so they got 150.00 in cash and 60.48 cents in change in a ziplock bag. They werent happy about it and I said WELL..if you all would have waited until friday like I asked you wouldnt have this problem and I got my receipt and left! :D :D

Just a thought from the OTHER side,, here.
I deal with the $ here at work,and believe me I have heard every story and reason why they cant pay and should have another day another week. Which I understand IT HAPPENS,,But, after so many you can't make exceptions if you do,, then it will NEVER end,, believe me. SO I have sympathy for the OTHER side. I had a woman run in once telling me she needed her car right now cause " her water broke and she was on her way to the hospital" BY HERSELf mind you, she said "Bill my mother in law", as she went out to get in her car and go,, I called MIL she said " NO WAY" so she comes back in to get the keys that she thought were in the car WRONG! anyhow,, I have heard it all, and Just a note,, when your angry and yell, those people remember those things... just a FYI,,you might need them again.. ;)
People have stormed out of here before " Oh I'll NEVER be back here." then they crash Again... and come in, I say " Thought you'd never be back?!" Then they have no comment and are as nice as can be.
Just had to give ya the OTHER sides version. ;)

I had a problem awhile back where the chiropractor was saying that we didnt pay my hubbys 60 dollar bill. Well I had payed it in cash and couldn't find the reciept but I know that I payed it bc you cant get out of the place without paying. They have a door that is locked so that you pay before they will unlock it so anyways. After argueing with her for a week and a half I just decided to pay it since I didn't have my reciept and payed her 60 dollars in quarters not rolled or anything I just sit there at her counter and counted it all out. Needless to say she was very mad by the time that I got it all counted out!

Every doctor's office our family goes to has you PAY your copay or whatever BEFORE you are ever seen. Guess that eliminates a lot of no pay headaches.

And many places can indeed refuse to accept unroll coins or limit the number they'll accept.

I'd be p.o'd if I knew I'd paid a bill, but if the situation is because I haven't paid someone....then gee, the fault lies with me.....NOT the other way around.

Actually they have to take your money. regardless whether its rolled or not. Its legal tender so by law they have to take it. I know a person that went into this hospital and paid 100.00 in COINS for their bill. They had to take it!!

I always try to befriend the person on the other side so if they are allowed to let anything slide maybe they'll let me! And I always try to remember that they are just doing their job. In most cases they don't make the rules and they certainly don't get any of the money collected. They only collect it because that is what they are paid to do.

I've also found that if you know that you are going to be late with a payment, and you call in advance and try to make arrangements or at least let them know that you are trying to work with them, they will do what they can to help you out.

I don't think most of them really want to give you a hard time, unless, of course, you yell at them. :p ;) :p And that's just human nature reacting.

no, there just bitches...they were going to turn off my utilites once for owing 2.27 cents.......thats how they are..they dont care....like i said it bad here...and i didnt yell at them until this time because its BS.

OMG! Now that is just cold!! My state has really strong laws about that kind of stuff. Its next to impossible to have service shut off in the winter. And if there are childern involved... fuugedddaboutit!!! (that's my best Sopranos impression!)

I really do understand there is another side, It's just when I think about the kids, it's very different. It is winter, and very cold, in some places.
I can understand people being short on gas bills, look how much they have gone up. :eek: :eek: :eek:
But like always, kids come first, and I don't think it would hurt them to wait a few extra days.
