My V-Day was the best ever!
 

Hope all of you had an awesome Valentine's Day today. I was delighted with my V-Day gift.

After receiving a yorkie last year for Christmas (Carter) and a yorkie this year for Christmas (Crissy), I think this tops it all off!

Here's what I received . . . but in a dark gray instead of light silver.

I guess I can say that I have the most wonderful husgand in the world!

I hope you had someone special to share your dad too!

Thanks!!! It is soooo different from driving my Yukon . . . not that I didn't love my Yukon . . . I needed a change. This car has been the car of my dreams for a very long time. I never thought I would actually have one of my own.

This thing handles as smooth as a glass of fine wine goes down the pipes! The salesman had me take it out on the interstate in New Orleans today - doing 60 around the curves in exits and taking hairpin turns at 45 without putting on the brakes. It is absolutely UNBELIEVABLE and has more power than I'll ever use!

My hubby will be home for the next 2 months so we plan to get plenty of good use out of it with the top down.

I know I have an awesome husband . . . . supportive, loving and willing to prove that I'm special regardless of how crappy the world around me gets!

Oh -- to boot, my son comes home from Iraq on either the 21st of 22nd of this month. I'm sure the first words outta his mouth will be "ma, can I take the TT out to cruise?" Even though he's a war hero (receiving a Navy Commendation Medal for extraordinary heroics recently), I must remember what it is like to be 21! I think I'll be in the passenger seat while he cruises! ;) We (my oldest two children and I along with my daughter's best friend, her good friend, the friend's parents and my first ex [whom is a great person] and the ex's wife) are taking a 7 day cruise during my son's visit home. That will decrease the amount of time he wants to spend behind my wheel!

Congrats on the shiny new car! What? No Yorkie in the passenger seat??? ;) I'm happy to hear about your new pride and joy, even if this one isn't furry. :) Was it a complete surprise?

What is so awesome about the Audi is that you get 4 years/50,000 mi free scheduled maintenance, 4 years roadside assistance with your purchase. I really like that! Need wiper blades . . . swing into the dealership and let them change them! Can't wait to have my XM satellite activated either! Gotta love the Bose too. Its a wicked sweet car. Got the 3.2 6 cyl turbo.

I have so much going on in my life that I can't talk about on the forum right now but I'm sure this was an attempt for him to let me know that I am appreciated and loved. The good thing is that my marriage is rock solid right now and that is one very important thing.

We knew we would be getting a new car/suv within the next few months and as close as last Saturday he was still saying after the cruise or the following month.

How very cool! I am so excited for you! I remember how excited I was this Christmas when I went out to the driveway to see my 2006 Nissan Pathfinder in the driveway with a big red bow. The German engineering is out of this world!!! And when the top is up you feel like you're in a 'regular' car!! And when the top is down, Whhhhhhheeeeee!!!

Its 72 here this morning and it was awesome riding with the top down! I agree, the road noise when the top is up is minimal. I'm totally loving this car!!!

Rub it in!!! :D We've got snow up to my knees!! And you've got the fun one!!! I got the 4 seater...

And when that top is up it is hermetically sealed!! No rattling around! I also like the 'tic trip' or whatever its called where you can drive it like an automatic or a standard transmission without a clutch!! And the way the top goes up and down with the key in the door! And.... and.... I could go on and on! Gotta love the technology!

I looked at the A4 but decided to stay with the one that I had been drooling over for years! The first one I ever saw was a long time ago (6 1/2 years ago) while waiting in que for the Bay Bridge in California.

I also thought about the new Pontiac Solstice but when Ed said I could get the "one" I really wanted, I wasn't arguing!!!
