Well said, Villette. Exactly what I would have said. I have several gay friends, one couple whom is pregnant and is raising another child from adoption. Doesn't bother me a bit. I support and applaud them for being so brave in a world as harsh as ours has become. I am straight and some of my friends wonder why I am such good friends with the "gay ones"...I hate the labels...but I really think it is their insecurity and inability to be accepting that bothers them most. Then too, they can't get in on all the gossip that I can!!! No offense taken by your prefences and welcome again to YT. I really enjoy reading your posts.

Did I hear something about recipes???

Thank you all :D I feel alot better now. :D I don't like to just come out first thing and announce my sexual preferences, LOL!! I just mean it's not all that I am. I kinda like people to get to know ME first, then they can know who I sleep with, LOL!! Anyway, Thanks alot for letting me know that you are all the good people I thought you were in the first place :D

LOL!! I did ask around about desert. The thing is that all the ingredtients are native to Tunis. I dont think that the traditional things are gonna do you any good. I'll give you an example. One of the deserts is called Zgoo Goo, its basically a cream and nut desert. But you have to have the Zgoo Goo, which is a small tear drop shaped type of nut. I think its a nut, there's no other way to describe it. If you can't get it, then you can't make Zgoo Goo. There are some other things. But they're pretty much the same. The only thing I can suggest is if you look for a French recipe book. Most of the things we eat here are French deserts. Tunisia used to be a French colony, and the old french deserts are still a HUGE favorite here.

I have no problem with it, you say whatever you want to about your partner, even post pics of both of you, I'm sure you've told her about yorkietalk. If anyone has a problem with it, it's THEIR problem, but I think people on here are more mature than that. This is the year 2006 and everyone should be more accepting. As long as you are happy and have found a person in life that you care about I am happy for you!

I am glad you feel you can be yourself with us...no one should have to lead a secret life. In my book it is all about what kind of person you are and not who you are sleeping with or in my case the lack of sleeping with :rolleyes:

Wasn't it liberating getting that off your chest :)

I support you 100%. I have grown up around same sex couples/families and it doens't bother me at all. I am sorry that you were feeling that you might be critisized here. I enjoy reading what you have to say! :thumbup:
