Real names or user names?? When you view posts do you tend to of the others posting by their user names or their real names (if they include them in their signatures). Some people I know their "real" names and know whose user name belongs to whose real name....others I have to read their names. It's taken me awhile to associate rrosenberry with Rhonda, but I don't think oh, it's rrosenberry any more. |

I like to get more familiar with people and comfortable with them before I tell my real name......... :) Not trying to be snobby or anything like that. |

It kind of depends sometimes I will think of the persons name and sometimes I will think of them by their username. But my name is Heather and it says it in my signature. |

I like to use real names, I wish everyone have their names in their signatures, I think it makes it more personal. but agree I think ya gotta connect somehow with them first, But that is easy around here. I so wish I would not have used my rrosenberry,, and came up with something more exciting, but I had NO idea I would get so addicted here, I was just logging in to look at the pictures. :rolleyes: BY THE WAY.. I'm RHONDA.. hehe |

I never tried to be inventive with my user name and wasn't bright enough to think...oh, it should mention my yorkie's name. I used bchgirl cause I use that on other boards and Lord knows, I can't remember different PASSWORDS and DIFFERENT names to boot. For some reason....and I know what it really says...rrosenberry makes me think of raspberry ;) so there ya go...Rhonda Raspberry :) I've found there are different people posting at night vs the day. I "know" the daytimers more than the other...... |

If their name is in their signature or if I've seen their names used before, then I try to go by the name. I start thinking of them as their names rather than by their usernames. |

I wish I had more imagination too! LOL But my name is Mandy. My username is my 1st intial w/my last name! Very boring! Its fun getting to know real names! We know everyone else's yorkies names, now its time to know our names! LOL |
I had no idea when I joined that my user name would be the one everyone saw....so really no imagination went into it! LOL I wish admin would give you one chance in the first 30 days or so to change your user name. Have any of you ever read the Sweet Potato Queens books? They all decided "Tammy" was the perfect southern belle name, so they all wanted to be "Tammy". So whenever the author talks about ANY of her friends, she says, "my friend, Tammy...." Maybe that's how it is with Kims here....LOL |
I know the names of the people who post a lot but most people I just associate their user names with their dogs name, if that makes any sence. Ok for example, when I take my girls to the park for a walk I'm like "Oh that's Gucci's mom" and I totally forgot or don't know the owners name because usually when I see another person with a Yorkie or a cute dog and say "Hi" I usually just ask what their dogs name is instead of the owners name and they do the same (I guess it's just out of habit, which i guess is kinda wierd). It actually happened to me today with a girl I always see at the park and we finally kinda laughed and asked what each others name is because we were just so caught up with eachothers dogs. :rolleyes: |
