~anything in pantry have to be labels facing out and grouped together based on likeness-ie green beeans and green peas have to be together b/c they are green, snack shelf, cooking shelf, spice shelf, breakfast shelf
~milk has a specific place in fridge as well as everything else has it's specific spot in the fridge
~chairs around dinner table have to be a certain way
~towels and hand towels and wash wrags must be folded a certain way and color cordinated as well if there are 2 blue then there must be 2 yellow, etc.
~shoes in closet must be one toe facing out and one heel facing out so you can see the hill and toe so you can pick which one you want to wear easier
~clothes are hung color cordinated as well as short sleeve are together and long sleeve are together and work clothes are seperate.
~clothes drawers are divided into catergories as well
~I won't even address the way things are washed and dried-you definetly don't have time for that
~in the morning the all the blinds in the house have to be a certain way
~I have a routine for the shower, getting dressed and getting ready- I get all crazy and forget things if they are done out of sequence

I have a specific routine for everyday of the week. I am a very habitual person now. I think that I lacked normalcy and control groing up(my parents were kinda hippies) so now I am a control freak--I am learning to give/relinquish some of that control so I don't go crazy.
So now you know if you didn't b4 I am a crazy women :p
Oh Sweetie, we could so live together! I'm the same w/ canned goods, and shower rituals. AND clothes have to layed out for the morning.
And from this it is now a LAW that TP goes OVER not under, everyone agrees so, there ya have it! :D

Also my food can never touch! I wash my hands continously when I am at home! If I am not at home I carry wipes! I really can't stand when people come to my house and try to help me by cleaning they never do it right and instead of being thankful I can't help , but just go and fix it and try to show them where things go!

Kara, I think we were in the same lines as personalitys were being formed,I feel like saying dito on everything,the only other things I do that is over the edge on the occ list is everytime the dogs come in the house after being out is to wipe there feet with thier towel,yes a blue one and a pink one,right by the doggy door,and I have trained them to wipe there feet on thier rug outside before coming in the doggydoor,even the 12 week old puppy is following there lead..Now if I could train my husband the same way I would be happier,but after having him for 40 years, I really think he is untrainable,both on the feet cleaning,and the seat in the down position with the seatcover showing,someday maybe...do you know why women live 2 years longer than men?its because god feels we should have 2 years with a clean bathroom and the seat always the way we want it :aimeeyork

Oh my God, Rhonda....I do that....wipe the water out. No kidding...stuff is piled knee high around me....but my dang sink doesn't have water spots.

OMG! I can say I am the same way as you on almost everything on your list! It is so nice to know there are other crazy people out there! LOL!

I'm so glad I posted this, I feel we all know each other TOO well now!
And now we have even more in comman other than Yorkies, we are all psychotic!

PS~ I even tried one of those drugs can't remember which one, the one that says " Does your mind run all the time, can't sleep, thinking of things you need to do,, do you have patterns and rituals,, etc,,, " I tried it,, for 3 months NOTHING changes, went off of it and now I use the 30 bucks a month on Clorox WIPES!! :eyetearss

Lithium may help.....jimney another disclaimer....I am kidding and mean no offense to anyone taking lithium, anyone who should take lithium, anyone wishing they had lithium, nor any person someone else THINKS should take lithium.

If you're buying all those wipes, ya might wanna get some stock, sure seems like you're helping their earnings ;)

I have to have an organized closet- organized first by category, then by color. And shirts aren't just shirts- there are numerous sub-categories - speghetti strap tanks, thick-strap tanks, halter tops, short sleeve shirts, 3/4 length button-up shirts... I am nervously OCD about my alarm clock. I set it and then have my bf check it. I still double-check it on occasion. Before we lived together, I had two alarm clocks, and would check the one next to my bed about 10 times before I went to bed. I used to wake up in a panic and think it wasn't set and have to check to make sure the bar was all the way over.

My cups have to be set up a certain way in my cupboard. I'm living with the anit-OCD who thinks it's funny to mess them up and then wait for my reaction.

must have clothes all neat and tiddy I hate it when hubby digs in his dresser drawer to get his clothes and messes it up i cant stand a messy dresser drawer :thumbdown i end up having to refold the clothes.

I know exactly how you feel! My hubby does that and even worse he takes stuff off the hanger and if he doesn't want to wear that he throws it on the shelf above the rack! Or he puts it back in the wrong spot! It drives me crazy!

Hey, is this OCD??

After wearing Jeans all winter, & when Warm weather arrives and I start wearing shorts again; it feels like I'm wearing nothing, so for about 2 weeks I'll keep looking down to make sure I remembered to put on my shorts. :rolleyes: :lol tears :lol tears :lol tears

All of my Cd's are in alphabetical order. I use to have a list of all my cd's so I knew if someone borrowed on and did not return it,, but now I don't loan them out! :cool:

I am guilty of the water spots in the sink I cant stand that and after I run water in any of my sinks I have to get a towel and dry it out. And the faucets whether its the bathtub faucets or the sink faucets I cant stand for them to have toothpaste or fingerprints on them!

D-mn kids :eek: kiddin' I will admit that I used to dress (or re-dress) all dd's nekkied barbies...they'd stay clothed...hmmmm, 15 minutes tops. Apparently no self respecting barbie owner allows barbie to wear those fancy gowns.

Anymore OCD'ers out there?

Since I've been home, I've cleaned the over/broiler, done the dishes twice, made a Lasagna, 2 loads of laundry ( no ironing), watered the plants, cleaned the bathroom of my bedroom. That's why I usually go out on Friday nights, what am I gonna do tomorrow?! LOL

You are all out of your minds!! :eek: just kidding, but you guys wouldn't be able to stand me! I hate cleaning and everything that has to do with it! Except for windex, I have an obsession with Windex. I love cleaning windows and sometimes I dust. But I hate cleaning. :p

I have OCD terrible!

1. I smell water, if it's not out of the bottle i don't drink it outside my house.
2. I can't sleep unless the bed is straight.
3. I rewash dishes before I use them, even if they have just been washed.
4. If I am eating and someone reaches over, or come near my food..I won't eat it.
5. If I am eating with someone, and they make a mess or put trash on their plate before I finish...I can't and won't eat anymore of my food!! :(


I am normal though!! :p

Oh Im happy to see im not the only one. :D I drive hubby crazy some times.
I have to have every thing cleaned and nice and neat. or it drives me crazy.dishes have to be done. and I bleach bathrooms and kitchen every week use to be every other day , but now im on YT I dont have as much time. lol
