We bought my Mom a car!!!!
 
Hey guys! I know this has nothing to do with our yorkie babies, but I am just so excited right now. My husband and I just bought my Mom a new car! She has never had a new car her whole life. I am just so excited and proud to be able to do this for her, since she has sacrificed her whole life for me. She was 38 when she had me and practically started her life over after raising my brother and sister who are 16 & 18 yrs older than me!

I am going to give it to her on Saturday and I can't wait! I am just so glad that we did this for her rather than do something else with our money! It really is better to give than to receive!! :)

wow that is so nice of you!! :good job: You must have a really special mom :girl: and I am sure she thinks your a special kid. :angel2dl: I would love to do this for my mom and my husbands mom if only we had the money. What a great feeling it is to give and what a great gift to give. You are going to make her cry!!! :cry8: Tell her to have fun and enjoy!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys, she really is a very special mom! Being able to do this for her makes me not feel so bad about working so hard all the time. It's all worth it!

I don't know about her crying, but I'm sure I will! :)

such a wonderful thing to hear! My mom has been gone for almost 10 years. I wish I could have done something like that for her. Be proud of yourself! I'm sure she will be of you!

That is so nice of you! My parents (86) just sold their house and moved up to be near me and my Mom hands me a check for 800.00 and said I'm going to give you this each month since you lost your job and you are spending all your time taking care of us. I said no way I am happy I can help them they watched my dtr for free from the time she was 6 weeks old and until she was 6 and we moved farther away from them. They were 65 at the time so they gave up 6 years of their retirement and healthier years. It's so nice to be able to help your parents for a change!

We got her a 2006 Ford Focus. It is all that we could really afford, but it is a great car and I know the ratings are very high. I am so excited! I will have to let you all know how it turns out! :)

Oh Farrah! That is so great!!! I bet you can't wait to give it to her! So will be so speechless I'm sure! What a great thing to be doing for such a special person! It's so hard to show our wonderful parents how awesome they really are and how thankful we as their children are. I can't wait to hear all about it!!

I have always wanted to give back to her everything that she has given to me, but I have been hesitant because I wasn't sure how my husband would react. We have only been married for 2 years and I know we have all these dreams and things that we want for ourselves. Well...this idea actually came from him! Of course, I was absolutely in agreement, but most of all I was so touched that he would want to do this for my mom. I really did marry a great guy who would do anything in this world to make me happy and who loves my family just as much as I do! :)

That is wonderful of you, I wish I could do something like that for my mom,, yet my mom is one of those " Oh keep your money, I dont want anything." :rolleyes:
I always say. when I hit that lottery, she would be the first person I would take care of.. God knows they deserve it.

Wow!! That is so awesome what you and your hubby are doing for your mom! How wonderful it is to give back to your mother :) Mothers are one and only one, and there's nothing better than to see them happy :)

That is so sweet of you! My mom and I were both in tears when my sister, bf and I gave her a snowblower this past Christmas- I can't imagine the state we would be in if we bought her a new car! You should get a video of her reaction- what a great moment to remember!

I know, I wish I could. I have already told her that I am coming to her house for lunch (she lives an hr away) and I don't want her to think anything is up. I am going to drive the car and when she comes out, which she always does before I can even get in the house, I am going to hand her the keys!! My husband is going to come later to pick me up and visit with her. I am definitely going to take pictures! I am just so darn excited!! :)

Did you ask the Dealer for a big bow? I know at my sisters Dealership they have lots of them, I'm sure they would be happy to give you one. They are super big,
my sister gave me one, because I'm always buying bows,she said I bet you never had one like this. She was right, now all I need is a big gift to put it on. :D

Hi all! Just wanted to let you all know that my mom was completely shocked and overjoyed with the new car!! It poured rain all day, so I wasn't able to get any pictures, but I am just so happy that she really liked it. It was such a wonderful feeling to see her so happy and to see how much she really appreciated it!! :)
