| ![]() Well, Jody and I have been together almost 6 months and since both of our rents are up around the same time, we have been talking about moving in together... He is so ready and I really was quesitoning it because I hate change.. But after talking to him and my parents and my sister, I decided, to take a risk and do it.. I can honestly say if he asked me to marry him today I would say yes!! I think it is the right move.. I have never lived with anyone (other than in college) but that was only 2 years.. He moved in for a month to take care of me aftyer surgery and when he left monday I thought I would be relieved but instead, i wasn;t.. i missed him like crazy... All i wanted was to see him, so i guess thats a good sign that maybe its the right thing for us.. Anyway, I was just wondering what are your experiences with moving in with a girlfriend or boyfriend?? Thanks PS Lily Mae will be so happy too.. She loves her daddy!!

| ![]() I live with my bf and couldn't be happier. Sure, he can drive me crazy and be messy, but I love spending time with him, and even the mundane things aren't so bad since I'm doing them with him. He feels like my true partner-in-crime, and we have a great time together. For me, it was the best move. Sure I loved him, but could I live with him for the rest of my life?! I needed to know before making "the next step." I'm a difficult person to live with- I'm a control freak and have a not-so-slight case of OCD about certain things- so I wanted to make sure that not only could I stand to be with him, but that he could stand to be with me! We were together almost 3 years before we moved in. There have been tough times, especially blending different habits (mainly cleaning habits ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() Susan, Thanks so much for the well wishes.. Like I said, when he left sunday after being here for a month, i was so sad.. I couldn't enjoy it... I think its the bets thing for both of us.. Things are going great and we are so compatable.. Its like we belong together.. He does the cooking, I do the dishes, we both do the laundry.. I clean the bedroom room and he does the living room.. It like we are perfect together.. I guess I am just not good with change and its a HUGE change for me.. Anyway, thanks again and I am glad you and your man are doing so well

| ![]() Moving in with my boyfriend was one of the best decisions I've ever made. It brought us closer and gave us a better understanding of each other. I'm really excited for you. I think its a great decision!

| ![]() Thats kinda like how we are. I'll cook, he'll clean. He does the laundry, folds them and I put it away. I think it helps you both understand how things might be if you were married.

| ![]() Me and my boyfriend have been together 4 years and 4 months and we moved in together a year ago. We were renting at first but have just bought our first house together in November and it's great, I love having MY OWN house. We both take pride in keeping it looking tidy and clean. (most of the time) Obviously it does get annoying sometimes when he sometimes leaves his clothes on the bedroom floor, doesn't clean the bath after using it, doesn't wipe the side when he makes a sandwich, throws his socks on the floor, always wants to watch what he wants on the tv......... etc etc lol No honestly it's great ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

| ![]() We didn't live together before we got married but we DID only date for 6 months and then got married. We just had our 42nd wedding anniversary! So, time doesn't always tell.

| ![]() Thanks for all of your advice... I made my descision offical.. I called my rental company and told them I will adding Jody to my lease.. I am still freaking out a little bit but i have a couple of months to get over it!! Everyone is being very supportive of me.. I had a really hard time telling my mom because I know how she worries about me.. I told her I had been thinking about this for weeks and I didn't jump into it... SHe was like I like how you thought with your head, and not just your heart.. she also said "Me and dad are behind you 100%) so that fact that I have her support is wonderful... My sister is thilled... She is so happy, I have never seen her react the way she did.. Jody's parents are very happy too and so is my best friend... My only problem now is telling my grandparents.. They are very OLD FASHIONED and i worry about what they might think..Oh well, its the start to a new life!! Lily Mae and me are happy

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | ![]() The BEST way to get to really know someone is to live with them - then you'll know for sure if you want to take it that step further and make it LEGAL - I think it's a great idea and GOOD LUCK to you and your new living arrangements...it's nice to have someone there all the time to share with. |

When my cousin moved in with her then boyfriend, now husband, no one told my great aunt (who is in her upper 80's) My poor 12-year-old cousin said something on Christmas Eve about my cousin and her bf being at "their house" and my aunt said "who's house?". My cousin said "Jason and Jessica's." My great aunt then said "Who the hell raised her?!" LOL! Although she was completely dreading it, my mom called and told her and my other great aunt when Jason and I moved in together and they both said "Why didn't they just get married?!" My older great aunt (91 this year) was so worried I was going to get pregnant!! Bless their old fashioned souls!! ![]() | |
