How did you two meet-up and fall in love? In the spirit of Valentine's Day or as some refer to as another commercial holiday, lol ;) , please tell us how you found your special someone! :) (NYM&P - not so closet helpless romantic(damn the movies lol  )) |
Wow, Jay and I met at a friends party.. Let's just say that he was not what I thought was "my type" at all.. LOL In short, he came to my house one day and my dad hit it off with him. They were just alike, fishing, fixing things, etc... My dad kept asking me why I wouldn't go out with him and I finally told my dad. "If you like him so much you go out with him." 7 years and 2 kids later I guess I was wrong and dad knew best!! |
Joe and I met in november of 94 in of all places, a club/bar. So of course at first you dont think much of it...but we really hit it off...went out the following night, and were together every day from that point on! Got engaged 4 months later on St. Patricks Day, and married 14 months later on May 11, 1996. May will be our 10 year anniversary :) |
Well my story isnt a very romantic one at all but hey I love my hubby very much. We have been together for 5 years on June 12 and we will have been married for 1 year on June 25. Anyways I met him when I was 15 on Main st. which is a place that all of the teens used to go in the area to meet new people. I met him and gave him my # and we started dating. Things have gone from there I love him so much and I would not trade him for anything in this world. This is the real romantic part, he proposed to me in the car on break at work one day. See what I mean he is a real romantic one :D |
I met Jason at an outdoor concert. He was working security and I was there with a friend and her sister. My friend noticed him and kept looking at/for him, but she was going to school 4 hours away at the time so she knew it wasn't worth pursuing for herself. We met up with him and his brother afterwards, hung out and exchanged numbers. He waited 3 days to call because one of his female friends told him he would look "too desperate" to call me the next day. Grrr! We went out on a date the next night, and the rest is history! I believe there was a bit of fate in our meeting because the concert was on Father's Day. I would normally spend the day with my father and would have never gone to that concert otherwise, but he was out of town that year. |
not in love just yet, but working on it. its only been since dec 16 our first date. met in a club, dancing, and that was it |
Well, I work at an Auto Body Shop, when I started here, Jim worked here, he was married and had 3 kids,, He was shy and quiet, but I always thought what a good guy, and cute,,Hmm... married,, Oh well. Then about 5 years later,, he is getting a divorce ( wife had an affair and wanted out) Hmmm. I then thought,,, Baggage,, not going there... Well within the first year of his divorce he started appearing at places my friends and I hung out... often,, well ya know how the rest goes... its been about 5 years,,and we are still together,,baggage and all.... ;) |
Yahoo! :) I'm almost embarrassed to say this, but my husband and I met online at Yahoo personals. I joined on a dare from my sister and her friends during a girl's night out.....my future hubby was one of the first to respond. We talked online and then on the phone, and I was "twitterpated".....I couldn't wait for the phone to ring during the day! We met in person a few weeks later, and it truly was love at first sight (which I thought was BS)!!!! We got engaged 2 months later, and have been married for 2 1/2 years now, and he truly is my soulmate!! |

Me and my husband waited tables at CHili's together. I had a crush on him because not only was he really hot but he was(is) a sincere christian which was something I was looking for in a guy and couldnt seem to find. One of the guys we worked with had a boat and one night we all went out on the lake with it and that was the first time me and Justin talked much outside of work. Well the next day I went to the art museum and when I was there he called me and asked me out. Well I was thrilled and said yes and 5 months later we were engaged. Everyone we worked with thought we were absolutley out of our minds. But it will be 4 years in march that we will be married. I know its a boring story :p |
My husband stalked me!!!! |
Here's the reader's Digest condensed version of our story...I went out for dinner with a couple friends one night and my (now) husband walked through the door...he stared at me and something told me he was the one. I don't know how others feel about a big age difference but I was 18 and he was 32...it works for us. He introduced himself and hung around, showed up at my job the next day, had his friend deliver flowers to my house that evening even though the friend wanted to take me out also, what a move huh? We knew each other for 3 days and I moved in and found out the friend lived right across the street  10 months later we got married, the friend was our best man. What a sport, huh? Now it's 25 years later...we're still happily married and plan to renew our vows on our anniversary this year. :D |
