LOL too funny!!!! My doc said yep, deal with it! I gave him a nasty look. I think Men should have it instead of us, after all, we are the ones who have to carry children! Why could'nt they have it??? |

I have also had a hysterectomy when i was young (24). I have and still am going thru those darn hot flashes. I would rather have a migrane. it is not only annoying but uncomfy as well. when they hit, they are very severe for a while. then you get cold. I was on hormone treatment for a long time. both patches and pills. i gave up on them due to the scares about heart problems along with a wild list of other things. I thought I would just rough it. so rough it i did. I was told it could last 10 yrs. My sister-in-law takes Centrum silver ( for old ladies). she said it decreased her hot flashes. I go to bed with a glass of ice water on my night stand. sips of ice water, when it wakes you, helps a little. Here in south Texas I am not sure if it is a hot flash or the weather. LOL. So... my other suggestion is move south . Hope the "power surges" are not too severe your you all. |
I will admit hot flashes are the only time I'm ever warm. If I could figure out how to have one without the sweats, I'd be pleased as punch. I do NOT like wringing wet clothing in the middle of the night....... |

I have been going through it for the last 2 years...and I'm ONLY going to be 46 this month!! My husband looked at me one night while he was freezing and I was red faced and sweating "Aren't you through this yet?" I believe with my whole heart that it would have been justifiable homicide! LOL I can't take the hormones because of BP/Heart issues but I do take Estroven and believe it or not it has helped a lot with the hot flashes/ night sweats! Now if they could only do something about the urge to hurt the one I love! :lol tears :lol tears :lol tears |

I have cut the smoking down to 1 pack a day (which is great for me) I have starting eating breakfast an lunch ( which i didnt do) I have started eating the proper foods, I use to drink over a 12 pack of Dr. pepper a day. I limit myself to 2 a day now and drink nothing but water. I have change my whole live style around and it just does'nt seem to help. Although i have to say this past month i have lost over 10 pds. But i'd rather have the weight then meopause!!!!! |
