Okay I just got on Myspace for the first time and set up my own page. I looked up people from highschool and found a whole bunch of people. Im kinda sad because it looks like not a lot of people have really moved on, you know what I mean? Still crazy and "trying to find themselves" 7 years later, and I see a lot of people that I used to know and I had a lot of respect for them and expected them to do great things and it seems they are headed on a bad path. It kinda got me depressed.
But anyways who else is on MySpace? I havent figured out how to set up the cool backgrounds yet and all that so maybe I could get some pointers :D .

I was trying to figure out a way to find YorkieTalkers on there and I havent figured it out yet. I want to find more people, its kinda fun and addicting. I have found that MySpace severly slows up my computer though, anyone else have that problem?

The other day I logged on and found a friend request from a girl I used to lifeguard with in high school......well, she's a couple years younger but anyway - she has a baby! Not married, still living at home, etc. I would have NEVER guessed, haha! Shocker!

I think that MySpace is just really slow, maybe it also slows your computer down but Myspace is always acting up when I am on it, it's just so slow!

A bunch of YTers posted their links on that thread. Why dont you check it out? Plus, for ur whole setting it up question. You can find premade layouts on many sites on the internet. Let me know if you want some links and Ill send them to you. ALso, if you dont like any premade layout, you can use a creator where you just fill out some information and details of how you want it to look and it will give you the HTML code. It's kind of hard to explain but it's pretty easy to do.

Aaaaaagh! You guys reminded me I havent' checked my myspace in a while.......so I went to the site and it is down for maintenance. Arrrghh.

Have you guys noticed that? It seems Myspace is ALWAYS down for maintenance when I want to log on.

I thought I was responding to my sister on MySpace and somehow I managed to click on a message that I received from some guy that I dont even know. Well the corny message that I was supposed to be sending to my sister to help cheer her up over her really bad weekend, I accidently sent it to the guy I dont know. Im so embarrassed!!! Darnit! I wish I could fix it!!!!!!! Stupid MySpace!

My friend accidently did that when she forwarded something. That stinks! At least you can look in the sent box to see who got it. At least you don't know him, it might have been more embarassing if it WAS someone you knew!

I just now read through this all the way. I guess I missed it through all of the myspace excitement. I think some people just want to look back and kind of have a reunion and make sure some people from high school are doing alright. Our class only had 100 people in it and 2 of them had died in car accidents before graduation. I think we're a close class from going through that and being from such a small community.
Now if you're talking about people not going to college or moving out of a small town I know what you mean. My class could really have our reunion at the town Wal-Mart, I'd swear that half of our class works there. I joined the Navy and moved from a small town of 6,000 people in Illinois to San Diego. I am proud of what I've done and I'm making something of myself. I asked one of the people still in town why he stayed and never went to college (he WAS a smart guy, but I think his parent's divorce had a big part in it.) He just said that he likes the town because it's close to family, some people end up having kids or just like where they end up. He had also tried to get into the Navy but he had problems with his eyesight.
So I guess what I'm saying is to each his own. I had the same feelings you did because I graduated 6 years ago. Be proud of what you've accomplished. Sometimes I guess it takes longers for others to find themselves and their place in life. So I hope this helps you in not feeling bad about it!

I have myspace too... I love it.. I am so addicted.. I had about 200 friends but then it got on my nerves so I delted everyone (except for people I really know (YT people are still there))

I have not had any bad myspace experiences. <knock on wood> Of course, I don't put alot of personal pics up there of say my child or anything either.
