I have a lot of really old Hummels, They were my Mom's, when she passed away I put all the boxes in the room under the stairs. I have no idea what I'm going to do with them. I hope the kids will enjoy them when they have their own homes. :) I'm in no hurry, I have two in Pre Med, and two in High School. So they have to finish that first. I'd be scared to put them at our Daughters home, our Grandson is now walking, and she has one on the way. :) Hold on to them, from what I heard the older they are the more they are worth. And College, oh my, we just paid $225.00 for one book! |
I collect Hallmark ornaments. My husband isn't too crazy about them but they're only out for a short time each year. My Christmas tree is really loaded, but very beautiful. I also collect the stuffed historical dolls by Hallmark, but I only buy them when I go to the flea markets, not on e-Bay. I collect antique children's toys. I have 3 small oak kitchen cupboards with dishes and an old spice set. I have an old children's laundry set with the wringer, washboard, iron, clothes pins, and a rack to hang your clothes on. I just finished a collection of toy antique nursery rhyme dishes. They were made about 1900 and have alot of different pieces. I also collect Sabino glass which is an opalescent glass in the shape of birds, butterflies, and vases. It's pretty expensive so I don't add to this collection very often. I love to shop on e-bay and have really gotten some good buys for my collections. I love to collect!!! (It's figuring out where to put it after I buy it that's fustrating!!!!) |
As un-girly as I am, I collect very girly stuff. Beanie Babies-I think I'm pushing 500 now Pocket Dragons-OK, so I just started collecting them and I only have 1 :( Disney Snowglobes-we get one each time we go to Disney World, which is 1-2 times a year, we have 6 now |
I collect green glass :) |
