Sounds like you live in my neighborhood,, I posted this story before about my grouchy old man neighbor who hovers in his windows when ya get by his house to make SURE you pick up the poop.. one day he walked out of his house onto the sidewalk and I was on his neighbors yard, right after Bailey pooped and i had already picked it up.. and he's staring at me I say " Can I help you?" he says " Pick up your poop!" I hold up the poop bag which is full, and say " Like this!" He storms in his house and as I go back by he's glaring out his window,, I raise the bag to him and give him the thumps up, which i really wanted to give him another finger! :mad:
So he does this everytime I go by.. and my dog has NEVER even gone on his lawnstrip,,,( which the city ownes anyway) anyhow.. Bailey likes his neighbors yard better. ( which I ALWAYS pick it up)

I don't have any bad neighbor story's, but man my mom has some. There are only 3 houses on my mom's street. Well the next door neighbor's let their cat just run free, which is pretty sad. My mom caught the cat in her garage one day and took it back home, and explained that she has two dogs (a cocker and shar-pei). She informed them that the dogs might hurt the cat (not meaning to) if the cat gets in the back yard and asked them to keep the cat put up because she did not want the cat to get hurt. Well, I was dog sitting and I let the two dogs in the backyard one night to do there business and the cat was back there. It was dark and I did not know what they were after until the Shar-pei brought the cat to me. I felt so bad!!! I took the cat to the emerency vet and called the neighbor's. When they got to the vet's, they cussed me up and down and told me that they want the dog to be put to sleep. I told they were nuts and that they were the irresponsible pet owner letting their cat run free with large dogs in the neighborhood. The cat did not have any serious or life threating injuries. I think the dog scared the cat more than anything. The dogs were not acting mean or anything, I think they just thought the cat was playing because my mom use to have a cat that would let them carry her around. They called the SPCA, and my mom was investigated. Which, thankfully the SPCA realized that our dogs are spoiled rotten, are very well talken care of, and happy/friendly animals. The SPCA explained to the neighbors that dogs like to chase cats and sometimes they catch them. They also fined the neighbor's for not having the cat registered and animal endangerment, and failure to put an animal on a leash (Leash law includes cats). Now the neighbor's just gives us dirty looks and say stuff under their breath like we cannot here it. Luckly their house is up for sale.

your old man and my old lady needs to be introduced :D maybe put on their own island :thumbup:

When we first moved in to our house last Jan, it was the first snowfall for the Rio Grande Valley (here in Sunny TEXAS) anyhow well we have these 3 beautiful trees that don't lose their leaves(they have shiney leaves) anyhow well EVERYONE's leaves were falling off of the trees due to the freeze & snow, so my new neighbor across the street decides to come knocking on my door and DEMANDS my hubby to clean up the leaves NOW (the one's on the street)... and hubby says I'll take care of it in a bit... any how he got tired of waiting pulls out his blower and starts blowing ALL of the leaves from the street into my lawn and driveway!! I was P.O.D ... I went out there and chewed his head off and told him if he didn't stop not only was I going to call the cops but shove that blower so far up his A** he was going to cry like a GIRL! I called the cops and they gave him a warning told him that the street & curb are city property and to call the sweepers. Boy I was mad......... til this day we throw eye darts at each other!!

that is ridiculous.... animal endangerment? it is a CAT... cats have instincts to get out and be free... not be confined and on a leash :rolleyes: :confused:

When I moved in town, from being out in the country ( which my cat LOVED being able to roam) I tried a long/ tie out leash... IT was UGLY!! I actually thought he was gonna hang himself,, running in circles, spinning, jumping in the air,, it was quite the ordeal, to try to get hm unhooked, before he did hang himself.. NEVER again,, he continues to roam the neighborhood, but my neighbors don't care, I see him sitting on other peoples porches, just hanging out,.. :rolleyes: Once a cat has been outside, it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep them in all the time.

I really don't know why the SPCA did not, but I did hear from other neighbor's that they had made complianets on the cat. They said the cat had attacked them a few times while they were walking our of their houses and getting out there cars and it also attacked one their mini poodles. Plus, there is alot of construction in the neighborhood, and two major roads that are really busy. I guess the SPCA was trying to keep the cat safe.
