Hope Lynzy is ok and keeping warm.

I can't imagine that much snow. We broke records here in Michigan last year for snow accumulation, but that was over the whole winter. Can't imagine getting it all dumped at once. I'm amazed they've not had more power outages from the weight of all that snow.

Our weather station is showing snow came all the way down across the USA, from Canada clear into North Texas, from Northwest USA across to the East coast! I know I heard them say there was even snow in Hawaii on the mountains.... Of course, NOTHING like what North East USA is experiencing....our weatherman has a daughter going to college in Buffalo....he said she called yesterday to let family know she is safe.....they have over 7 feet of snow falling over the last several days, and she still has to go to school....have not cancelled classes in Buffalo!!

We have pretty cold weather (40's at night) but no snow here. At least not this far south!

Hi all....I am fine, I'm cleaned up at my area....I've been moderating with 2 others an Emergency page that has thousands of members...quite the task...I have to admit one thing....I love banning....love it!


Anyway...no there are no schools open, none and many are closed indefinitely because the structures are compromised. Some private schools located in downtown Buffalo may be open but nothing else. Gas/food/etc all gone....there are many many many travel bans all over. Help has come from all over too...our National Guard is activated here as well.


We've lost 15 lives that we know of so far...they haven't finished uncovering cars :( only the main roads are accessible now and they are working on the side streets now. We have had many, many, barn collapses, kennel collapses and of course homes and modular homes...flat roof structures are not doing well at all...its going to get worse with a thaw and flooding and of course ice after that.....ugghhhh so much to tell you about! Everything has been closed...I'm definitely getting claustrophobic too....

No snow in NE Pa. temps well below freezing, 6 AM it is 14 degress, the norm for the last week or so. Abnormal temps for this time of the year.

Thanks for checking in Lynzy, we have all been worrying about you.

It is so hard for the rest of us to imagine that much snow, and now the threat of flooding. Hang in there girl.

Mother Nature is really pushing your limits, and I hope she eases up on you all soon.

Lynzy, I am glad you are safe and doing well, considering.

The loss of life is very sad.
