THings are heating up. Go to Canuck dogs, and see the open letters posted there. For of course no member of good standing can actually reach out to our 25,000 or so members. and what we reach out to are show breeders. We do this because we can easily, but not so easily with the other 1000s upon 1000s' members who are pet owners or mayhap commercial breeders???? I am concerned for the future of this registry. If the breeders depart en masse, what is the CKC? A pet owner registry, and a commercial breeding registry. About three years ago or so, in fact I posted here, the CKC, pleaded for all members to help them out of their financial straits. That action is taken as a last resort for NPO's, and a damning indictment to the NPO. And we bucked up to the plate. We survived.... The debates on and off line continue..... |
Will the AKC take Canadian dogs? I think they will won't they? Not suggesting that is the way to go, but it might give you more clout. |

We are foreign dogs, go to the foreign dog application and you will see the AKC requires for Canada and Mexico that dogs from these countries must first be registered with CKC and the equilvalent Mexican Registry. Remember Dara's story? |
