I would be careful. The iPhone 6 and 6+ are pretty notorious right now for bending in people's pockets. I would recommend putting it in a hard-shell cover case.

I don't think the regular 6 is bending just the 6 plus

I have only heard about it being the 6 plus too. Idk why anyone would be carrying an expensive phone like these without it being in a case.

It's true, and the idiots who do stupid things like that get all the attention. There is also a little part of the population that hate Apple so much that they go out of their way to find fault with all their products and software.

I believe the #1 cause of problems is the user/abuser and not the product.

I love my iPhone6 more everyday, and protect it like you would any other treasure costing $750. Can't wait til you get yours too.

Exactly. I have had my iphone 5 for two years I took it a few months ago to get the battery changed and the women was impressed the shape my phone was in but I always use a case. I prefer the otter box cases. Why would you spend that much money and not use a case.

I couldn't wait any longer. Even though my contract doesn't expire till end of October, I went to Apple store and played with both. Much to my surprise, I prefer the 6. I didn't notice a difference in video camera, and the size of the plus is a bit much for me. It's in my front pocket much of the time, and I'm afraid it would be too bulky. Otherwise, I love the plus and would get it if I didn't keep it in my pocket. Now I REALLY can't wait. Slo-Mo video is fun!

I can't decide which one. Most of my family is getting the plus, but I think it will be too big for me to fool with - can't put the plus in a pocket, like you pointed out, and for me I don't want to carry a bigger purse so I can put it in there. So I, too, am leaning toward the 6 :)

Have you checked them out at the store and picked them up? That was the clincher for me, having them side-by-side.

Sure, tell them you are thinking of going with Verizon and they might bend a little. You could shop around.... I heard some companies are paying for early termination of other companies contracts to get their business. Lots of competition out there.

I AM thinking of going to Verizon! They're just now starting up in Alaska. I haven't checked out what their prices are, but you're right, maybe they'll buy out my piddly 26 days and I can get service through them!

I'm surprised you don't already have Verizon. They have the best coverage in areas near you, in the Pacific Northwest, Washington--Canada etc.

Verizon and AT&T are the biggest carriers we have. I've always had AT&T. My MIL has Verizon and we barely get a signal here with them. We are out in the country so no high speed internet except satellite or mobile hotspots. I have my hotspot through AT&T and my internet speed is as fast as the internet at work which are dedicated T1 lines.
A lot of people say AT&T has crappy customer service but they have always been very good with me.

My ship date for the 6plus is still end of October into the first of November.
Mike you have me worried about the big phone now..lol. But I never carry my phone in my pocket.

I'm not getting an iphone 6, but I wanted to answer this question. The only reason my last few phones, including this one have been iPhones is because they have iMessaging, at least when I started with the iPhone anyhow. I don't make phone calls, I mostly use my phone for text. That's it. It was easier to text my brothers these long winded text messages on iMessage vs being limited to 160 characters. Now that my other brother, parents, cousins, and even my uncles are all using iPhones, and texting, it's so easy to communicate with them all. I'm sure androids now have something compatible to iMessaging, bit it would still be hard to switch. My mom and I got iPhone 5c's last December. Hers is set up just like mine, app placement and everything, so when she has a question we sit side by side and I walk her through it.

I will say I don't absolutely love my phone. There are many things about the iphone I don't like, but I'm sure I'll have the same complaints about any other phone out there. It's just convenient at this point to stay with the iPhone.

Thanks for posting this, it is very interesting. I'm not at all worried about bending, especially with a case. Common sense and reasonable care and caution is all that is needed to avoid bending.

The 5c and 5s are really nice and almost as big as the 6, if I had one of them I wouldn't have moved up to 6 either. Mine was 4s, sweet but small. (I even kept it to use as an iPod touch).

Did you install the iOS8 on your phone? For avid texters the new feature that intuitively gives you 3 possible word suggestions as you type is kind of cool. At first I didn't like it, but I find myself using it more now.

This is the first time I have upgraded to the newest iPhone. My current iPhone is a 4 not even 4s. I bought it when the cost was a penny with a 2 year contract :D I was lucky it was time to upgrade. iPhone 4 isn't even supported to upgrade past iOS 7.1.2

No. I had a really bad experience with my iPhone 4. I did every single update with my old phone. It took up all the memory to the point that I could only have 6 pictures at a time. Only 6 pictures of Kaji with no room to take new ones? That's insane!! My brother who also has an iPhone 4, skipped most updates and his still works fine. I also have all text assisting parts of the phone off. It kept changing all my words. Especially changing food to good. :-/

I just got a text from AT&T!! My phone shipped! Crazy just this morning my ship date was 10/31-11/13

The iPhone is just so user friendly and it shares information with all my other devices without me doing anything. If I take a photo with my phone, it appears on my ipad and iMac. I don't need to send anything, it's just there, like magic ;) It's the same with video, music, messages, apps, etc. I also love FaceTime. I have a son away at college on the other side of the state, and a daughter that just moved out of state for a job. I like being able to chat and see them.

The apple thing kinda reminds me of my home theatre set up, which is all Sony. Sure you COULD have a Phillips tv and a Sony receiver and a Samsung DVD recorder, etc, but none of the remotes work each other. I know you can buy a universal remote and then you have the hassle of having to program each device to work with the remote. With my all Sony line up I can pick up any remote and all the common features like volume, play, stop, channel up/down, etc, all work on all my devices. It's just easier, and user friendly....and great for lazy people. I think apple devices are the same.

I have the iPhone 5s and really like it, so I don't plan on upgrading until next year. Hopefully they have a 6s by then that fixes any issues the 6 may have.
