I need a new good series to watch... Suggestions?? I am not a huge tv person, but I like to have my one "show" to watch when I am bored. Game of Thrones is my fav, but that is done for now. I've watched all of Dexter and Breaking Bad and most of Sons of Anarchy (got bored of it). What are some good ones. I am kind of picky. I need something that really gets your attention! LOL |
I started watching "orange is the new black"...it's pretty good. Prison drama. |

Yes netflix...I believe it's an exclusive netflix series. |
I love Orange is the New Black! I've heard the Netflix series House of Cards is also good but I haven't seen it yet |
Sound like we have similar interests! BB is my #1 fav show, and SOA bored me too eventually. Some of my new fav shows unfortunately aren't on netflix, but I watch them On Demand on my Verizon Fios tv. Shameless is a great one, as is Californiacation (both Showtime). I am all caught up on Shameless - just started Californiacation. House of Lies on Showtime is another one that I have seen a few of and it seems pretty good, not quite as 'additive' as BB to me though. I got SUPER hooked on Nip/Tuck after Breaking Bad BUT I literally just saw it's not on netflix anymore which is a major bummer. I hate when they take shows off?! That show was very addictive for me though - like my #2 next to BB I think lol. The first 4 seasons were awesome and then it dwindled a bit though. I love Once Upon a Time -- it was a show I didn't think I'd like, but got hooked on it. Can it be corny? yeppp, but it's very interesting/fun to watch, and unique. Another "I didn't think I'd like" was Pretty Little Liars. Again, the writing isn't the *best* (it's ABC Family) but mannn, was it addictive. I could not stop watching once I started on netflix! Ummm what else? Oh I liked American Horror Story a lot (the first and third season were better than the 2nd IMO, and you don't need to consecutively watch these seasons in order). My newest obsession is House M.D. I LOVE Dr. House and the shenanigans he pulls! I have yet to find a show that *quite* "hits the spot" for me like BB did, but I'd say Nip/Tuck came in a super close second, followed by Shameless. I'm really really really enjoying House right now, but it's not so 'OMGINEEDTOWATCH THE NEXT EP NOW' as BB still hahaha. I hear great things about House of Cards, Orange is the New Black and Game of Thrones - have yet to watch these though myself. |
I like Orange. I watched a bunch of episodes for a while but now we are redoing the house so I stopped. Gonna watch it again soon. |
My favorites are Once Upon a Time and Charmed. |
I was enjoying some vampire show....but I cant think of the name of it....keep waiting for it to return but it has not....must have been cancelled? The vampire in the show was getting some kind of treatments from his "side kick" so he could exist in sunlight....the last show I saw, he was able to go to a big celebration in the middle of the day, that was given in his honor....wish I could remember the name.... I LOVE "Blacklist", I am watching "Extant".....I enjoy that game show, "Hollywood Game Night"hosted by Jane Lynch.....I dont really watch much TV.... |

The Leftovers on HBO - loving it! Very, very interesting...complex characters. House Of Cards - Showtime (can rent first 2 seasons now though) The Walking Dead - AWESOME, love it, can't get enough of it. Intense, interesting, makes you question things/think. The Vikings Downton Abbey Foyles War |
Orange, Justified, White Collar. |
The Wire. An amazing show about the Baltimore Police Department and the drug trade. It has ruined me for cop shows and Andre Royo and Idris Elba are incredible in it. |
Can't believe no one has mentioned American Horror Story yet. It's AMAZING, *especially* season two "Asylum" and also the Walking Dead. I'm almost done with breaking bad...it's soooo good! |
Oh, Brit mentioned AHS. The first season is very 'thriller'...second is pretty dark, and third is kind of camp-y. I liked s2 best because it was so emotional. Really dove into the human psyche. You've got a guy blamed of killing his wife, and you see him start to question himself and his sanity when everyone is repeatedly forcing him to admit his guilt. You have the head of the asylum who is riddled with guilt in her past, see her being dethroned and forced to live through the same torture she inflicted on the patients. You see corruption in the church and in science. You have a writer wrongfully committed to the asylum and watch her fight to stay alive and be free...it's honestly one of the most emotionally complex storylines I've seen on TV. :) |
