Shows that some people do still care about family values, morals, without coming off too cheesy or soap opera-ish. Very realistic, and of course deals with "bad" things... like breast cancer, teenage pregnancy, Asperger’s Syndrome, home schooling, drug problems, bad relationships, struggling marriages at every stage, absent fathers, sibling rivalry, adoption, bullying, and more and more... but like I said it doesn't come across as TOO MUCH or too soap operay, just very realisitic in the way the dialouge is portrayed and often awkward (like real life lol). And yep, everyone in the show is imperfect in their own way... good people trying to do the right thing. I just think it was a breath of fresh air for me when I got too down or depressed to be watching some of the 'darker' shows. It often made me cry but more out of heart warming touching happy tears.
All the actors were great, and little Max was one of the best as a kid with aspergers. |
