Gorgeous! The designer must have hacked into your brain. :D The stools, light fixtures, and tiles!

I can now picture white subway tile with darker grout mixed with some natural and industrial elements and colors.

Haha! Maybe in the pantry, which is where I keep my cookware and small appliances.

I had a great uncle, grandmother's brother, who lived in his basement because he wanted to keep his new house perfect. :p He was a farmer and the original house had been destroyed in a storm.

It reminds me of like when I get new bedding -- I don't want to actually *use it*, I just wanna look it at, admire it, and keep hoomans and dogs off of it :p.

OMG my dad! He finally finished (kinda) updating the house after he retired. My brother's friend's dad owns a furniture import company so they ordered him an entire bedroom set. My dad has everything all nice in the master bedroom but guess where he sleeps? In the smallest room of the 4 bedroom house (he lives alone now) in me and my sister's old twin bunk beds! At least he takes the bottom bunk! I can't believe he even still has it! He says he doesn't want to sleep on the nice bed bc he has to make it every day.

Your dad is too funny! Sleeping in your kiddy bunk beds. :D Sounds just like my great uncle. He slept on a cot in his basement.

Got to do some more grout cleaning over the weekend. And installed a bar for my mom. Quite proud of myself for being so productive! Here's before/after.

Great job! I'm really impressed with the bar. Were you nervous drilling through the tile? I would be biting my fingernails.

The beauty of the bar was that I didn't have to drill any holes! :D See the white stuff coming out in the center? It's an adhesive that pretty much will "super glue" to the tile. This way, if I sell the house and the buyer wants the bar off, I won't have to worry about replacing the tiles. And at the same time, I won't have to worry about the dangers of the bar coming undone like you would with those suction bar types. :D

Aha! Good idea. I need to do this for my aging dad. He could use a bar in his tub/shower for when he needs to close his eyes.

These add-on shower bars are impressive. Shower bars were one of the things we had added to the house we had built earlier this year. I was able to order attractive ones from Amazon, and the builder blocked in the supports before the tile was installed. Now we use one to hold washcloths, but I know we will be glad to have them when we get "old.";)
