thats so bad the princable saying that to your boy, of corse he was scared ot wasnt normal what the girl did. when my youngest was 8 he forgot his lunch box so i went back to the school and as i walked back into the play ground there was this girl kicking my kevin as hard as she could and kev was just standing there worse still was the mother was there as well, by the time i had finished with the mother it was kev and i that got the telling off, well i can asure you im not one to get told by any jumped up teacher that i was wrong when she wasnt doing her job properly, as i told her so and i also stated that if this continues i will be taking the matter further, and please dont talk to me as if im 8 years old, it stopped. so you continue with getting something done about it and dont let them teachers speak to you asif you are the child, good luck |
In todays day and age you have to take that very serious. Last nights "Seventh Heaven" (a rerun) was about one the school kids threatening the son(simon) by pointing his finger like a gun and pretending to shoot him. Well Simon tells the dad (Pastor), the Pastor contacts the boys parents- they laugh and the boy denies it. A few days later the boy then shoots the Pastor ... What the story line boils down to is that parents and schools need to take these kinds of remarks or actions with more than a "its just kids being kids". There is an awesome book about media violence by Col. David Grossman "Stop Teaching Our Kids to Kill It". I am not sure if it is against the rules but his webiste is www.killology.com He is an awesome presentor for schools to get to educate the schools/community on the real dangers youth face today. Maybe if more parents took it seriously and paid more attention to their kids actions there wouldn't be so many kids killing other kids, bombing, shootings, etc...... Just my 2 cents for the day...... |

PS. Just to let you all know...NONE of this is to be taken sarcastically. I really would like help! :D Thanks! |
well......... from my experience, if a child is repeatedly getting in severe disciplinary problems at school adn the child is not being taken care of at home social services can be called in to look at a case of neglect (again this is EXTREME and i have only seen it happen once). |
Nicole I don't think anyone reading your post would think sarcasm! ;) It really is a dilema and until parents and the kids take full responsibility, I don't know what can be done. There are no repercussions and even if a child is expelled, where will they go? To another school to start all over again with the bad behavior? I DEFINITELY DON'T want to detract from the awful situation Joran was put into and how scared he must have felt but can you imagine the emotional state of this young girl who wrote the note. I almost pity her. If the adults in charge of her can't even take something like this seriously, what chance does she have of getting help and turning her behaviour around. |
