I did the same and sent an email to Admin. and told them about the data base error but I guess it was the server. My last posts from this morning are missing.

Yikes! I missed out - wasn't online until evening but couldn't get the site to load at first and then it did so I wasn't in but about 30 minutes of withdrawal - but that wasn't fun, I can tell you. Glad to see you all again!!!

Yeah it was down pretty much all day.... I think I would rather have Facebook go down than Yorkietalk to be honest.

I'm with you on the Facebook going down being easier than YT. I still don't know much about how to use Facebook and I just click here and there and meander around with no rhyme or reason to much that I can make sense of. Very hard for me to get the hang of and not keep losing my place. Plus, YT seems more real time and immediate with lots of replies and always a lot going on whereas FB seems just too much to keep track of and it doesn't seem a reply to a comment is forthcoming quickly so I get kind of tired of waiting and move on. But it is a great site to keep up with family pictures and doings. I am getting into that a little bit now but my heart still belongs to YT!

I don't like how everything is so on blast on facebook. I can come here and post way more than I can on facebook. I enjoy talking to people more here.

I've contemplated deleted my Facebook a few times... Especially right now since I am looking for a better job. I don't want potential employers searching for me on Facebook before they decide to call me. You know most of them probably do these days. That just bothers me. I made my Facebook to where I am not searchable last night because of this... I mean my Facebook settings are pretty much private, but just to be on the safe side I made my page unsearchable.... just in case.

I guess I need to take lessons from all of you. I finally mastered Facebook - after 4 years !! This site is worse than Latin was in high school to me !! The instructions are even over my head. I still can't get Halo's pic beside my name :( All I can do is post (& I'm not even sure I do that right ?) and read what all of you say. GRRRR !!! LOL ! I do enjoy coming here, lots of good info :)

You will figure it out.. To post pics you need to upload them to your computer... then click on the little paperclip above thread post section and browse on your computer to find the pic you want and choose it. Sometimes if they are too big, just use a program to resize.. I usually use paint to resize. Sometimes you have to keep resizing until its small enough to post them.

Me too! KJC answered a question and I couldn't get back on all day. I thought I was banned because I had a reply pulled by the moderator. I guess if you are banned you would be informed.

No :( It took 4 years to figure out Facebook and my brother had to teach me that ! I only knew how to use the computer at work, AVS system for veterinarians. The Internet was like Chinese to me.

To put a pic by your name.... Click on customize profile.. then edit avatar (under settings) on the left.. Then select a picture.

It's easy... customize profile, then edit avatar, then make sure you click the bubble that says use custom avatar (or something like that) then click browse and choose you pic... then you'll be good to go. :)
