The hardest for me is when I need to keep a secret from my husband. THat is a secret a mutual friend has told me. Essentially I tell my husband everything or most of everything, but sometimes he might ask do you know what is going on with person A/B or C, and I do.... but... I usually respond yes but it was told to me in confidence.... I was a blonde at one time, now I am just grey:) and I like to forget what folks tell me, safer that way as I can't blurt out confidences. And some matters are just very very private, and if you want to keep them that way, tell only your therapist or as some-one said your animals:D |
I must say that there is only one person in my life that I will ever tell a secret mine or someone else's to and that is my partner, soul mate and dearest hubby. Not everything but a lot of things. Simply because he could care less, he just sits there and nodes his head. I don't like to create drama in my life and by telling him I know that it is safe with him and that he would never ever repeat it. So in my eyes I am a very trustworthy person, but am I ? |
I was voted "least likely to keep a secret" in HS.... but that's really not true. My problem is that I am very open, and don't really keep many secrets about myself. I always tell friends that they need to tell me if something is not to be repeated. If I'm asked to keep a secret I always do (even though it's REALLY hard for me lol!). As a result, I am the office "therapist", and I know A LOT of secrets lol. |
I work in a hugeeee building, 17 years, I am an advocate, Italian, the former Mayor and his info guy nicknamed me "Bertha the vault", people come to me and tell me things all the time, sometimes it's things I don't want to know! There have been a few times were I was so torn, but I never repeat. But there are times armed with certain knowledge I am better able to help others. |
