Glad to see that others are addicted to this show, I love it so much, the characters are so richly written and complex. I'm still having a hard time dealing with the cruelties shown to Theon Greyjoy. I'm typically not a revengeful person, but I really was hoping his sister would torture Ramsay Snow. That character gives me the creeps even worse than Jeoffrie. It saddens me so much that humans are so cruel to each other, but I really want Ramsay to realize that what he did was horrible!

Me too! I was sooooo hoping Theon would be saved by his sister :(. Ramsay is so horrible.

I just started reading the Game of Thrones books too - they're really good!!! I'm in the beginning of book 1.

Yes this is a book I would enjoy too, I've heard that the author is still writing them, do you know if this is correct?

I bought the series and there are currently 5 books, but I think he is still writing more. Really liking it so far!

He still has 2 books to write. But it takes him forever to write one. I just hope he finishes them before he dies. Or we will never know who ends up on the Iron Throne. The third book is my favorite, but I have read them all.

I just knew Lysa was going to 'fly' as soon as she threatened Sansa!

Happy that the prince of Dorn is going to champion for Tyrion. That scene where the prince was talking about Tyrion as a baby was so sad. Tyrion is the most interesting character, by far.

I wish Jon Snow had more power...he is the ideal person who could handle having power - he wouldn't abuse it.

I love reading your recaps, I agree with everything you say. I like Dorn and love his accent and Cersei is going to be furious when she learns he will be Tyrion's champion. I love the fact he is played by such a wonderful actor he makes you forget he's a little person because he has so much character. Can't say I'll miss Lysa, hope Sansa doesn't have to marry her son.

Don't you just *love* that accent!!!?? I so agree. It's just divine. He may turn out to be a very interesting character, rather than just a hedonist as they originally portrayed him.

I've always doubted Petyr's motives. But I guess he really did love Kaitlin. I just have never trusted him. But I think he'll do whatever he has to to keep Sansa safe. I don't think he will force her to marry him. Look at how he was towards Kaitlin. He was always very passive.

Did you see Tyrion smile when he was told that guy was going to be his champion. Can't wait to see it.

Littlefinger fascinates me as a character, and I haven't figured out exactly why yet. Part of it is bc there is this pure streak where he does feel a true love (Catelyn) coupled w/ his occasional (but suspicious nonetheless) good deed...but all this is combined w/ his other side which is totally devious and self-serving. Very interesting. I don't think he'll marry Sansa either, I do think he wants her to rule the north though. I do wonder who he'll marry now that Lysa is gone. Maybe The Eyrie is enough for him.

Yes, I loved the look on Tyrion's face when the Prince told him his plan. I also like that the Prince so keenly understands the true personalities and intentions of each of the Lannisters.

Yes, they did the same thing with Tyrion, but his character is wonderfully complex. Oh by the way, his girlfriend Shae, I really think she does love him, I can't imagine what made her cave-in to Lannisters, was she just so angry he sent her away, surely she knows he was protecting her. You don't set someone up with a house and servants if you don't care for them.

I'm glad we finally learned something about Littlefinger, I was worried he wanted Sansa to marry him, the kiss definitely looked like more than a fatherly kiss.

I feel like someone got to Shae, and convinced her to go in on the "guilty" plot so that she could help save his life and send him to the wall. It's super hard for me to imagine her character betraying him out of spite alone...that doesn't seem like her bc she truly loved him. I think we'll learn more though...at least I hope, bc I need to know, lol.

I just remember Shae saying how she and Tyrion could fight the Lannisters, I wasn't sure how she thought they could do that, but she had plenty of confidence. I just didn't think she'd bend so much, she's got to know he'd rather be dead than be at the wall. Also, when she was talking she kept repeating something about being his whore and she did seem spiteful, but this might have been some part of her motivation to get him so angry he wouldn't agree. I think he is so loveable, and I think even Sansa was starting to have feelings for him. I wonder what she'd do if she knew he were being tried for the murder?

I have read all the books. I read a lot... it is my drug of choice.

Anywhoooo... I really loved the books but just cant watch the series. It is just too sad I guess.

My favorite is Jon Snow btw oh and Tryon

Good point, maybe she was trying to provoke him with a purpose in mind. Interesting. I too felt like Sansa was softening toward him and seeing him for his better qualities.

I like Jon and Tyrion too. What do you mean by "too sad", do you mean you're sad bc they don't follow the books to the letter? Or do you mean the stories themselves are sad?
