You bundle up and stay warm, the last thing you need to do is catch a cold or get frost bite. Second thought not many bugs could live this weather but one can get frost bite within minutes. |

This cold spell will hold off the early spring bugs for a while I hope. |

Not sure what Temp we hit today, but of it felt so good... |
We have blizzard conditions right now It's the northern part of Ohio that is getting hit the most and that is my area and Cleveland, Toledo and Detroit, Michigan.... just knew I celebrated too soon. They are saying 3-6 inches at least. I would say we have 3 inches already looking out on the bird feeder. |

We didn't get as much accumulation as was forecast. But it is a very heavy, wet, slushy mess. Oh how I long for spring...hard to believe it's mid March and the ground is still snow covered...when will it ever end? Hope you all fared well though this...stay warm, stay safe... |
Do I sound like all I do is complain, well if that's how it seems than you are right. Heavy snow with 50 mile an hour winds yesterday and the pay off is 7 degrees F when I woke up this morning. Like I said before it goes from snow to single digets back and forth and it has to end sometime. Winds have calmed down to 5 miles an hour. At least that is something to be thankful for today. |

UGH... now we have your snow! And it's FREEZING! It started raining yesterday, I don't know when the snow started, sometime between when I went to sleep last night and when I woke up this morning and it just keeps going. Although it does not look like it's accumulating too much, they said 1-3 inches. The roads are a mess. People are SO sick of this weather, this is when driving becomes dangerous because people are driving in it more than they were a few months ago. More people came in today despite the weather, than last storm, so I know they are feeling defiant of the snow. UGH Its so cold also! |
Good lord, we had Sleet and rain yesterday early morning than after about three hours of that we woke up to 6 inches of snow and temp in the teens. School was closed again. Plows never even make it around our area until 3pm. Now: Today we have bright sun and temps in the 50's !! I didn't even clear the drive way because I am thinking 50 something temps should melt it all anyways. Mother Nature is one very confused women...... :sun: :umbrella: :snow: :sun: :snowman2: :whiteflag2: OR She going through Menopause !!! |
I hate to mention it but we're going into the 70's today and tomorrow and up to 84 Saturday. And that's really nice right now but by May, it will be into the 90's and soon after that, SUMMER in Dallas, which only the strong and those with excellent AC survive. I'd love to have a longer winter for us down here - but only the kind of winters we have - not all that bitter cold, wind, ice and snow week after week for months. IDK how you all survive so much cold weather and living with the snow all over everything for so long. Must be just as hard as anything driving and shopping and going out to eat or to the movies in deep snow - as hard as the heat is on summer activities here in summer. Wish we could trade out a bit - our extreme heat for some of your cold air. Wouldn't that be great? |
