Your Favorite Christmas / Holiday Presents? Let's share about our yummy gifts :)! What were your favorite gifts you received? I got an electric sander from the hubby (omg, LOVE IT) so I can refinish this little table I've been putting off, bc I didn't want to sand it by hand. It was so funny bc his Mom and Dad admonished him immediately for getting his wife a sander (!!!) -- but then they realized how much I loved it! :D From my in laws, I got some super cute high heels that I've been wanting. Love them, and they're super comfy! |
1 Attachment(s) Sander sounds great, I LOVE hobby gifts. :) This year my hubby and son bought me a YORKIE.:aimeeyork We've never bought a live animal as a Christmas present before, not something we recommend, at such a busy time of year and it can go so wrong....BUT I knew their plans and we contacted Caleb's breeder, so knew 'she' was coming from a good breeder, whom we trusted. I got cool Yorkie socks. And a Yorkie carry all tote. And had dinner with Mom and all. |
My fabulous boyfriend got me the cutest ugg boots ever. I've wanted a pair for several years, but could never bring myself to actually buy them. Then he got me a snowboard, too! I'm stoked cuz I won't need to use his daughters anymore. And Oddsock, your new little girl is adorable! |
We almost always go to NY to be with my family, but cancelled just recentl, so it was just my husband Ian and I today, but it was wonderful, I think he tried to make me feel good since he knew I would be missing my family. He almost never buys me gifts, but this year he bought me a lot of stuff. Two Pandora charms, an Ott light, which is very bright for crafting, a new coffee maker that I had been wanting, and a bunch of pretty wine stoppers. My sister sent a big box with a lot of good stuff and for once I did not unwrap everything the moment I got the box, I waited until this morning. We made a big fire in our fireplace, put on Manheim Steamrollers and opened the gifts. It really was nice and LOL perhaps I will skip NY again next year. I will be there this Feb so I will see family then. |
I got two gifts.... The joy of watching my little girl play with her Christmas toys AND a text message from somebody that has been on my mind a lot lately :) |

But a good friend surprised me by sending me a remote car starter! They're expensive, but he won it at a hockey game and didn't need it. I was flattered that he passed it on to me! I got a toilet!!! Let me explain...hubby is actually remodeling the bathroom...gutted it back to the studs...so yes it's been a big job and not quite done yet. Well you can't exactly put that under the tree...so that's where the toilet comes in. lol...I'm going to love my brand new bathroom, can't wait for it to be complete. Such a romantic gift, huh? |
My daughter got me 2 JFK books and 2 movies (JFK related of course) The books will come in handy while on puppy patrol. Now if Allie would just have her puppies!! |
I was extremely touched that my SIL donated to the local animal shelter in my name. Honestly, it made me cry. |

I can't even imagine how cool it would be to get a Yorkie for Christmas. I know a puppy gift wouldn't be for everyone but I think I have dreamed of getting a puppy for Christmas all my life. Pippi is one of the cutest puppies I have seen. Can't wait to see more pics. My husband got me a Kindle Fire. He did good because I am really liking this thing. My niece called me yesterday evening and told me how well things are going for her in her life now after some pretty rough times in her life. We talked for over five hours (into the wee hours of the morning this morning). Hearing her so happy warmed my heart so much. I think that was my best present. She is my heart. |

OHHH Oddsock, so lucky you were to get a little girl for Christmas. Part of me hoped beyond hope that DH would totally surprise me... but no such luck! My favorite gift this year was a surprise from my DH... he got this bowl that I loved that I never made it back to the store to buy... nothing expensive but it was so pretty and I thought it would look great as a centerpiece bowl for our kitchen table. It does! :) I was just so shocked when I opened it by his thoughtfulness. He was not that impressed with it, but knew I loved it and had mentioned it awhile back, so he went quite a ways out of his way to get me the bowl. So sweet of him. |

Beside the gift of having family and my pups to share Christmas with....I received an ipad mini! I was totally and pleasantly surprised. I am learning how to work it with the help of my daughter in law! |
I'm a tea lover and my daughter got me a huge barrel of loose green tea. I need to figure out how to make it, but I am pretty stoked about it. My stocking was also filled with different flavor e-juices for my e-cigs which was pretty nice since they aren't cheap! I am stocked up for a while now. :) |

Me and DH were a little short this year due to the wedding but I got new makeup and brushes that I needed desperately and was so proud that he figured out girly stuff all by himself lol. I have to say though my favorite present was an ornament. Every year my family has always gotten a special ornament that represents something unique about that year. I've continued that tradition and always get new ornaments for our tree. Of course it was all about the wedding this year and my parents got me this adorable ornament: (my family has always called me Roni for short) |

Favorite is the remote car started my hubby got me, been wanting one for a while now. Bad news is cant get in for install until beginning of February. My son got me silver hoop earrings and a hear necklace. My daughter got me a couple AE shirts, a pretty floral scarf and a coffee mug set that say "Keep Calm and Call Mom". Best gift ever was that we were all together ! |

Well.....I was hoping I'd get my engagement ring LOL but I have expensive tastes and won't settle for less...so I must be very patient for the ring. ;) Staying with the Disney theme...(bf took me to WDW last month as a surprise and our christmas tree and stockings were disney themed) He asked all my friends and family to get me disney movies for christmas! So I ended up getting like 12 disney movies, which I was freaking ecstatic over because I've always had this dream to own a huge disney movie collection since my grandma had like, the coolest and biggest stash of disney VHS tapes. She promised I could have her whole collection one day, but they got stolen. It's always been important to me to pass my disney addiction on to my children :p So it was super sweet that everyone got me a movie to start my little collection. I've been binging on them since christmas...so far I've watched Mary Poppins, Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, and my personal favorite..the Aristocats :D |

My son totally surprised me and got me the pink dog stroller I've been wanting! The poor thing went to a bunch of places before he found a pink one. He thinks it's silly to have a stroller for the pups, but he knew how much I had been wanting one. He even said that he will go for a walk with me tomorrow to try it out. If I can just figure out how to get the cats out of it long enough to get Puff into it! My daughter (17 yo) got me the most beautiful necklace. Its from Kay Jewelers--the open heart design with a dog paw print! It's beautiful and I haven't taken it off yet. I hope each of you had a great Christmas! |
