We only have 4 people too - me/hubby, and his parents (who recently moved here to AZ). Most of those gold-trimmed pretty dishes are from his parents - they gave the set to us some years back (so nice!). But I found those gold-beaded-ball plates at Goodwill...and get this, they go for about $50 a plate on ebay, but I got them for like $1.99. SCORE. |

My daughter has my Mother's dishes that I gave her, they are a treasure and she does a table with a gold lame table cloth they is so pretty. |

it is awesome to have a family treasure to remember each time you use it. |
What a great idea! And it looks so good too, can you please come over and set my table up please??! ;) It's hard to decide, since both placements look so good... If only 4 people are coming, maybe do the first look and then everyone can see eachother with the bottles on the side. That'd feel a bit intimate too. |
I like #1, but where will the food go? I tht the turkey was the centerpiece. |
Gorgeous table, Ann! I vote for version #1. Quote:

#1 :) |
Gorgeous both ways...I like version 1 more. |
I like the white glass wear with the candles, I'm not feeling the tall bottles w/ the candles because they look like they might be too tall for conversation. I probably would do the white glass wear with something randomly strewn around them like some nice small sparkly ornaments (silver) or some type of greenery. :) |
1 Attachment(s) Kinda of like this.....Attachment 394362 |

I like the first one best, your china and cutlery are beautiful, real great deal on the lovely beaded plates. |
I like Version 1. In the other, I think the candles in the tall bottles might interfere with conversations across the table. They are both lovely, though! Hope you have a very nice Thanksgiving! |

I vote for #2 |

Version #1. I like the chunky candles. We are hosting at our house for 15 this year. I am jealous of the size of your Thanksgiving. Beautiful! |
version 1. version 2 seems a little too busy... |
I just want your table and chairs :p I say 2 BUT can't really have a convo over the candles unless everybody is giants. |

Thanks everyone and HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you ALL . Hope you all have a fantastic day and excellent/worthy food comas :D. I'm going w/ version number 1, as that's the definite winner..thanks for your help! |
Stunning!! I love #1.....the "experts" always say dont have any of your table centerpiece obstructing the view from the people across the table from you.....with those elegant tall bottles and candles at the ends of the centerpiece, that allowes unobstructed eye contact with everyone around the table! Stunning table setting! |
