Very cool!!

My good friend Frank Nicotero is a comedian in LA, used to be on Comedy Central, etc, and his cousin is Greg Nicotero who does all of the makeup on TWD! :) I plan to go out to his studio one of these days!

So what does everyone think about Carol killing off and burning people? I do not believe they had turned. I think she bashed in their heads and killed them in cold blood. Maybe it is just me but, I just don't like her character.

It seemed out of character for her; and, it clearly bothered her conscience given her reaction later. It seemed a very severe reaction to the circumstance, so I don't yet understand it at this time. I wonder if it'll come up again or not. I think parts of her are numbing out -- like when she was down on the dock trying to fix the water source and zombies were closing in and part of her didn't want to care / didn't want to react....that tells me parts of her are at the end of the rope.

How about that GIGANTIC herd of zombies? OMG. I wonder if they'll arrive at the prison in that size.

I don't want Glen to die, I really like him :(. I don't think he's gonna die though bc he plays an important moral balance in the group.

Do you guys think we're going to see the Governor again?

I find Carol's character very interesting. In the first season, she played a battered woman victimized by husband, and then she lost her daughter Sophia, and it took many weeks to find her only to learn that she had become a zombie. That's got do something bad to your psyche. :p I think she saw Rick fall apart and become too indecisive, and she just decided she's tired of all the democracy and she's taking matters into her own hands. Teaching the children to defend themselves without getting their parents permission and then killing and burning the flu victims seems worlds apart from the earlier Carol, but if anything she's a survivor and has learned to adapt and cope.

That herd of zombies was terrifying and yes, I think we'll definitely see the Governor again. I want them to dig a giant pit and put a noise maker in the center and just have all the zombies fall in the pit. On a side note, what happens to zombies in the North, do they freeze during the winter and thaw in spring?

Totally agree on Carol - I think she's one of the most fascinating characters on the show bc she is SO strong, but is also quite fragile and complex. She feels things deeply during a time when a lot of feelings just need to stuffed due to circumstances. Above all, she's a survivor and was one loooong before the zombies showed up.

I also find myself utterly fascinated by Carl - I love how they deal with his character. They don't get too inside his head, even though very complicated things are happening there. Which makes sense bc in real life, we often can't get inside a child's head either bc kids can't articulate what's really occurring on the inside. Carl's role is so perfectly cast too, the actor is spot on.

LMBO, good question :D!! They must freeze but since they don't ever die, they must dethaw come spring! So in that case, the crew needs to go North for a winter vacation from the zombies :p. Like snowbirds, but in reverse.

If only it were that easy.

I've never gone but our town has a zombie walk to raise money for local shelters. This will be the fourth year they have had it. I wish I had know about it before hand, this is really something I enjoy doing. Scaring people and helping out a great cause.

How FUN, lol! Would love to see that in person. What a great idea. I bet there'll be a ton of zombies for Halloween, eh?

I was shocked, although I understand both sides. I believe he thinks that she's a loose cannon, but that's not really accurate. I think because of her helplessness in the past, she went too far the other way and seemed angry that Rick was so indecisive. I do think she's adaptable, and the others might have helped changed her mind about making choices without consulting others. I can also understand Rick's decision of having her leave the group, he promised to find the person who did this, and Tyreese wouldn't have given up on this. Also, Rick's decisions have to be based on protecting his kids, and part of that protection means that he has to protect their humanity, if they become something that only thinks of survival, then they won't be any different than the zombies. I think it's an interesting twist to the show, and wonder if Carol will meet up with the Governor, I don't think he knows her face.

I finally was able to watch the episode last night. UGH, I was so upset about Carol . I didn't like him turning her out on her own like that. And while I do understand why he did it, I found myself wanting to hear of other options rather than the one he chose. I think Rick's main fear was that she was making too many decisions on her own -- teaching the kids to kill/use knives (w/out parents' knowledge), killing the 2 last week; and he fears what else she will do of her own accord.

I feel like Daryl is going to be furious that Rick turned her out, don't you? They have a certain bond. Then again, Daryl often supports Rick no matter what.

Yes, I think both Carol and Daryl grew in good ways from their relationship, and I'm afraid Daryl and even Hershel might really have a hard time accepting this. If Rick is angry because he didn't like her making so many decisions on her own why the heck did he make this one on his own? :p I'm glad he's getting his confidence back, but I really think something this important should have been a group decision. I don't think Carol's two new daughters are going to be very happy either.

Omg, I didn't even put that together, but what a good point!!! Rick just did what he's accusing Carol of - making huge decisions by oneself. Oy.

We’ve talked about this before, how people can’t tolerate certain qualities in others because they can’t tolerate these same qualities in themselves. Even Carol displayed this when she reveals how much she can’t tolerate Rick’s indecisiveness. This is because she’s angry at her own earlier indecisiveness. I remember you wrote once that you try to discover why some people rub you the wrong way and can pull your chains. You said that you believed it taught you more about yourself, so I’ve tried that same exercise and it so revealing.

It's so true, how the people who bother us the most are usually the ones who remind of us something in ourselves, or some way that we used to be at one time. You're right, it's so revealing that it's kinda scary! Whenever someone rubs me the wrong way, I think "look in the (literal/figurative) mirror" - and I always learn something.

So true about Carol and her earlier indecisiveness...she can no longer tolerate it / deal with it bc of her anger at her past. I think it's stuff like this that has me so hooked on this show - it's so psychologically fascinating! And you know how that always reels me in :D!

Ha ha me too, zombies and psychology, this show was made for me!

I'm all caught up now . . cant believe Rick put Carol out like he did and yes people will not be happy especially Daryl. I think he might just leave the group to try and find her. And than the other fella wont be too happy knowing she was the one who killed his girlfriend and he didn't get his justice for her.

I wonder if the outbreak is over now that 98% of the people that where in quarantine are dead ?

OH and oH I was just wondering and had told my DH I was wondering when that governor dude would be back.... Well... he's Back and it wont be pretty.

I am curious to see who will not survive the this season of the main characters. I do enjoy reading the comics and it is interesting how they portrayed the prison/ Governer Saga in the tv version.

Me too!

This is who I think cannot go:

Rick (obvs)
Carl
Daryl
Hershel
Carol (not totally sure, but I don't think her story is done yet)
Maggie

Well when people said to the producer once that if Daryl dies there would be a riot he smiled and said nobody is safe. I know there are differences from the comics and the TV show. I have a feeling maybe Daryl might survive this round but eventually it will catch up with him.

Rick was suppose to die earlier in The Walking Dead comics but they kept him alive. But after so much as happened to him in the comics it is just a matter of time.

Well in the Comic book realm Hershel does not survive leaving the prison. Already Laurie is dead. I have a feeling Judith won't survive either from whatever attack the Governor has instore for this season. Maybe I will be wrong though.

Carol might come back later in the season when hearing of the Governor attacking the prison. I can also see Daryl going after Carol. Who knows though.

Hmm not even Hershel ?

You always want the good guys to make it out alive in the end in any show or in every scenario but typically they are the ones to get it at the very End.

Not sure what the Governor what thinking when he and that family left there nice, safe home to go out onto the road and into the unknown. That was just Cray cray . . He has proven to be a man you do NOT want to trust which is why I was just sitting there in suspense just waiting for him to do something unpredictable. Oh and Talk about insane, how cruel was that for him to just sit and wait knowing all along that that old man was going to change and would come back as a zombie.

Watching how the governor seemed turn back into a more.. sane person, makes me wonder if Rick will be the next to go and the governor taking Rick's place in leadership down the line.

If he didn't go crazy, he would have made a good leader. I don't really see anyone else that would be able to fill that position.

Other than Rick, who do you guys think has the best qualities as a leader?
