The cannibal idea makes so much sense. How would they have so much meat otherwise? I saw a pile of heads/bones when they were running away from the gunfire. I bet those are people that have been eaten. Yikes, I hope they get out of there!

Yup. I saw that too and was like "OH GOD THEY'RE EATING THEM" hahah. Terrible.

I was a little miffed at the amount of flashbacks. I kind of felt it was unnecessary and took away valuable time.

BUT, I had been fairly bored with TWD otherwise, so the fact that it really held my attention tonight made it a good finale in my book :thumbup::p

Forget Carl.. I think I'm traumatized. LOL Got me wondering if I could do the same if put in that situation...

Yea, me too. I sure would do whatever it took to save my child but doubtful that I could do that or that I would even have the strength to do it. It was pretty crazy . .


That Rick sure has a keen eye to have noticed and recognized all of that !!

Yeah, those flashbacks kinda irritated me too, bc I didn't think they were necessary. BUT, I did love seeing my Hershel, whom I miss so much, he was so great/kind!

Me and my hubs both just gasped when Rick tore the neck out of that dude, but we also thought it was heroic bc he had no other choice. He truly is a survivor...and he'd do ANYTHING to save Carl.

My husband thinks they likely drugged the food at the entry - so that survivors would pass out and they could then confine them.

I'm so glad that so much of the gang is back together! Love that Daryl found Rick...and I just *loved* it when Rick called Daryl his brother :love:...such a great/validating moment for Daryl. It showed him that his feelings and the changes he went through via the prison group were worthy and right.

I wonder if bada$$ Carole will save the day.

I feel like the Terminus group kidnapped Beth...I feel like maybe they imprison young fertile females to continue their version of humanity. YUCK.

I agree with you and Brit about the flashback, why are they showing this???, but after seeing a bit of Talking Dead, it was to show Rick's changing behavior. Remember, when Carl said, he's not the man his father thinks he is, he's a monster? I think Rick hasn't really shown his brutal side until this episode, and he wanted to keep in touch with his humanity for his son's sake, but in this episode, he felt he had to become brutal for his son's sake. I think they wanted to show how he's evolving and yet was still able to keep his humanity, for example when he talked to Daryl and called him his brother. I think Carl has felt like he was so much more brutal then his father that he thought of himself as a monster, but maybe they will both find the balance it takes to survive in this new world.

I think you are right about drugging the food and also kidnapping Beth, I'm really anxious to see how Carol will handle the situation. I didn't really like how Rick handled it, except the part of hiding the guns, I think only two of them should have gone in and if they didn't return by x time, the other two would know that they were being held captive. I can't believe we have to wait so long to see more.

LOL I opened the thread but haven't read any of the posts. Im still waiting to watch it. I tried to log into AMC on demand but couldn't remember my ISP name and password. I will figure it out later. lol

LOL It is all in the minds of the writers and they have not started shooting the next season yet. I am not sure where Beth is and was surprised that Maggie did not ask the others if they had seen her since the prison. I have not heard that she was killed off and many actors go and do other shows once their show has finished filming. It was fun to see a lot of the Walking Dead dead on Mob City. Walking Dead and Mob City were both developed by Frank Darabont.

In the flashbacks, they also talked about the watch-

We realized after the "sniper" kept missing that they weren't trying to shoot them, but more like herding them like cattle to the location they wanted them in.
When I saw the candle room I was thinking cult and ritual sacrifices but after seeing the pile of the bodies, I'm back to cannibals.
