Song choices sure are important, and I don't know how they do it. Bad choices can really ruin their chances, as we saw with Caroline. One of the biggest surprises ever was James' performance of Queen's "Somebody to Love". That was over the top amazing. |

To tell you the truth, I didn't like any of them in the first round. Second round was a different story. Will and James 10 votes each And 5 votes to Cole for the beautiful job he did in the second round. |

Most of them had a few mistakes in their performances, but nothing that would change the minds of voters who remember and respect the artists previous songs. It must be so hard to perform when sick (James), BTW I like his new glasses, very cool. I guess each and every song doesn't have to be that "over the top" breakout number, as Adam said. I liked Jacquie more than in the past, and feel she has a good chance, though my heart is still with team Adam. Still the 2 I would least be sad to see go tonight would be Cole and Matthew. |
I think there is only one going tonight, but I could have heard it wrong. I try to base it on all they have done in the past as well. Even though I gave Cole 5 votes, I am not a real fan, his second song was so beautiful and had to give him a thumbs up. I doubt Cole will go home tonight. |
I really do like Jacquie overall, I'd love to see her sing something that she doesn't have to work quite so hard on...simply showcase her voice for a change. |

So exciting this season, and Adam must really feel pumped up having his three survive another week. Can they keep it up? Who's going home? Oh the suspense. :eek::eek::confused: Will they continue to eliminate only one per week now? I was surprised when it changed from 2 to 1; must not have paid attention to the rules. Hope James is over his cold and comes back with a knock out performance and isn't shaken by being in the bottom 2 this week. I also hope he wears his more cool glasses and not the nerd frames, haha. |

Tessanne is still my fav, though Jacquie was amazing again, and would be my second choice. Adam commented that Tessanne is going through hardships that were edited out of the personal piece. Does anybody know what that is about? Curious. |
Just say on a discussion group a comment that Tessanne's friend committed suicide, so that must be the hard thing she's dealing with. |
I thought Jacquie was outstanding last night. Her performance brought tears to my eyes. |

I don't watch the show, but my husband does. Anyways, we knew of Josh Logan bc he performs around here a lot, at events and bars and things. Last week, Josh Logan played at our local Macy's store, right in the middle of the store at noon. He really is a talented man. The woman at the register told me that his artwork is hanging in the offices upstairs and that is how they have a line to him. Funny enough, he was playing a month before our wedding at an event at the place we were getting married. At the end of the night, we were just chatting with him, and he said he'd do our wedding. We figured he'd be ridiculous expensive, and we already had a DJ so we declined. Kicking myself now!!! LOL |
That's so sad about Tessanne's friend...must be hard for her to carry on, but that she did and then some. She has such control of her voice, it comes so naturally for her, it's as if she doesn't really have to try at all. Jacquie always seems to be trying too hard, she's so young...and still has so much to learn. That's the big difference between these two. But for me it's still Jacquie all the way. I believe she will be a star someday... |
So I hear 2 will go home tonight, who will it be? Can't wait to find out, and I sure hope it is not one of the girls. They both have my heart and my votes. Next week is the finale, and I am so bummed that I will be at a school Christmas function Monday night, and don't have a DVR. Guess I'll just have to watch it on Hulu, later, but by then everybody will be celebrating the winner. |
I just got in and see that Will made it.:) I'm afraid he won't beat either of the two girls but so glad he's made it this far. The men in my family and Kathy's husband will hate to see Cole go and I hated to see James leave but I think it was just about right and the votes told a true picture. Yay, the girls survived! I'm voting for Tessanne all the way. I even downloaded her song this week on iTunes. However, I know she and Jacquie will have successful careers, regardless of who wins. Will sings well, but lacks confidence so much when he speaks, it has made me back off a bit. What's the deal for next week? Perform on Monday, results on Tuesday as usual? Can't wait. |
