Wow, the talent last night was amazing, considering the short time they contestants have been coached. It is always sad to see two of one coaches team members go up against each other, knowing the team will lose one of them. But it is exciting to see another coach steal one, and stir up the contest.

I love this show. I might have to get DVR just so I can watch it again. I still can't remember the contestants names yet.

I kinda miss Dancing With the Stars sometimes too.

The talent is so great, I'm having a difficult time choosing favorites. Does anyone have an artist they particularly love yet?

There are so many, I haven't even gotten used to their names yet. It will be easier when the battle rounds are over and each team goes down to 6 from 12 members. It was sad to see a couple of really good ones go home this week, but I know that even the amount of exposure they had already on the #1 rated show will benefit their music careers anyway.

Certainly some stand out for different reasons/styles, but it can all change as the coaching and the competition increases.

I don't know names....I'm not good with names.

It is going to be hard to decide as they are all so dog gone good!

I love that little girl with such a deep strong voice. She's only about 15 or so years. Well, there are a couple young girls I've taken to. To be so young and have that gift, then get to come on a show like this....it will be interesting to see them over the years, as I'm sure they will be around a long time.

Another question.... Is this show on every Monday and Tuesday night?

I am looking forward to checking things on this thread, since I do not know anyone that is watching this show except my YT friends. It is going to be fun.

The episodes are all free on Hulu, posted the day after they air. In fact, I'm watching last night's episode on the other half of my screen as I write this! I have quite a few I like & after the battle rounds I'll commit to a few favorites.

Just got back in town but made a point to see both Monday and Tuesday, I have never seen so much talent in all my life. Even the ones that went home were outstanding.

I'm like Kathy, I have to wait I bit until I pick a favorite or two. :cool:

Can't wait for the show tonight. I watched some reruns over the weekend that reminded me of some of the artists that have been on. Great talent.

I really like Tessanne Chin (from Jamaica), and Grey, and Holly, and others whose names I can't remember.

I missed the first performance tonight...I'll go back and watch it later. I should start keeping notes...lol, I forget how much I liked some one in the blind auditions until I see clips of those.

Thanks for the website, I took notes but sure that I spelled some names incorrectly.

I really like the two different James that Adam has on his team, also Destiny from last night but not sure I like them better than those we saw before them.:confused:

I wasn't as impressed by anyone performing last night as last week. Maybe it was just my mood, but I don't think the songs some of the coaches chose were all that good, and didn't give the artists a chance to shine.

Nobody really stood out as fantastic, many were just equally OK, in my opinion. Hope tonight is better.

On my notes for the first and second group, I had 'hate the song' :) Maybe I'm showing my age but I like a good deal of the new music but could not stand those two.

I'm 58 but still listen to new music. There's some great stuff out there! I was thrilled last night when the 2 guys sang my favorite new song, "Counting Stars" by One Republic (check out the original on YouTube). Problem is, on The Voice they "over-sing" everything.

So what did everyone think about last night.

Loved that Soul Singer Show Down and so glad Preston won. He is my favorite for now.

Really like Olivia and Stephanie as well.

Crystal, Thanks for posting that youtube video...Love Pink Floyd. After I listened to that song I went looking for Comfortably Numb...love that song too!

As far as the performances this week didn't like the song choices. Some of the singers probably could have done better with a different selection...but the coaches choose what they want to see what the singer can do, I suppose.

Preston was really good. I'm still disappointed in song choices, and don't think they gave anyone much of a chance to really shine.

Instead of all out battles, in the Battle Rounds, it ended up more like a bunch of nicely performed duets. They just blended together more than standing out on their own. Not impressive IMO.

Well the Knock Out Rounds start next week and they get to choose their own song they want to sing. Can't wait for the Live Performances to start. Also I noticed last night, it was stated that there will be a steal in the Knock Out Rounds this year. That should prove interesting.

That will perk things up a lot.

I sometimes wonder if they start with too big of teams.... so many have to be eliminated to get down to real competition.

I also kind of wonder if it's a good thing to allow some of the really young ones, like 15 and 16. There are some very talented young ones, but I sort of hate to see them thrust into business so early. I feel they should develop their talent and round out their lives more normally in those years, and maybe plunge into career performing after high school.

Just my opinion at the moment, what is yours?

I agree completely, why take these precious years ahead of them. That talent will still be there down the road.

You're right the voices did blend nicely but I am waiting to see what Preston can do alone. He has such a wonderful voice.
