Christmas at the Pound raffle to Benefit Florida Yorkie Rescue!

In case you haven't heard there's a Raffle gearing up on Fb that will benefit FYR this year. :) It's a yearly raffle with all proceeds going to a rescue. Last year it was Yorkie 911 and Yorkie Haven rescue. This year it's Florida Yorkie Rescue. There will be wonderful designers donating and this year more donations from the public too.
Donations are still being taken until Sept 30 and ticket sales will be available Oct 1-31. Drawing on November 1. Be sure to contact Tuck & Tula for more details. Here's the link to the Raffle event: https://www.facebook.com/events/1376264569260876/

This is the collage I made for them to display showing my I Love My Yorkie dress which will be available to the winning raffle ticket holder in a multitude of fabrics. It can be done as a dress or a vest.

I sure hope more of our wonderful YT community gets involved in this very worthwhile event! It's going to be sooo hard waiting until November 1st for the drawing. :eek:

It was so sweet that you donated both items. There is some wonderful items on the site. I see two items I am just loving. . . I wonder if one could say Biewer ;)

Sherry those items are beautiful, so nice of you to offer them.

I also have two things in the raffle, one is one of my Lola Rose Harness vests and the other an Oscar Newman Sweater that I won last year but was to small for Lola so I thought why not donate it back since it was beautiful. Hope to see lots of Yorkie Talkers participate.

the tickets go on sale Oct. 1 last year we had to friend Catia and we pay paled her the payment and our choices. I will let you know when it starts.

If you have time you might want to donate a dress, this gets seen by lots of people and would help get your name known even further.

Thanks Donna, please do. That's a good idea. I'm not sure I would have time to get any done, I have an order for 6 dresses that I'm working on. Plus my work doesn't hold a candle to those others. It would seem laughable compared to the others. I recognized the dress you make, (beautiful) . :)

don't kid yourself you do beautiful work, what sets some of the "high end" designers apart from people like you is often only the price and perhaps some fancier material. but it is good to hear how busy you are, you know one of these days I want to get a ribbon neck dress for Lola

Thank you for sharing this Sherry, It's a good reminder for me, I'm looking forward to buying tickets. I think your Cinch Bed's absolutely adorable and I'm sure you already know how much I adore the "I Love my Yorkie" dress!:)

It was so much fun to participate last year, I'm not usually a lucky person so I was shocked when Yazmin won the cutest Cloud Nine bed from Yorkie Haven rescue. Yazmin loves that bed! ;)

I'm actually kind of surprised there have been so few posts showing interest in this raffle to benefit Florida Yorkie Rescue.

In order to view the items being raffled, please contact Valerie Curran (she coordinated the event). Raffle numbers are being handled by Kay Williams Graves. The raffle will be held November 1st, so you'd better hurry if you want in on it! :)

The real winners in the raffle are the pups who will benefit from the proceeds of the raffle sale. I heard the total was over 5000$ but we'll have to wait until Tuesday for the final tally. :eek:

There may be others that I'm not familiar with. I was rooting for both of you since I knew you'd both placed ticket numbers on my items. It made my week when I saw your names as winners.

I won! Well really someone else won and gifted me the prize, isn't that sweet?! I got the Diana Coltenback donated artwork! A 6" X 6" custom pet portrait of one pet in acrylic paint on gallery wrapped canvas! :D
I am so grateful to the lady that gifted it to me, what a nice thing to do. Now I got to help yorkies and I get a painting of one. Now to find the cutest picture of Chibi
