OK...I guess I'm the first today to put our stats in. Just weighed myself and it says I am at 155lbs. That's another 2 lbs. for me and I'm not doing too much different. Just smaller portions, fat free whenever I can (especially milk - am a HUGE milk drinker), and Splenda instead of sugar. Just trying to be more aware of what I'm putting into my body. Will continue to revamp as we go but that's 2 MORE POUNDS!!! :D :D :D |
Whoopie ! I too am down , 5 lbs to 152. Just changed the way I combine my food and smaller portions. Thats 13 lbs gone  so far and only 22 more to go :( I'll make it providing I don't have too many late nights ( when I snack ) with the two litters I have due soon. If my girls do ok I should be able to stay on track. Keep me in your thoughts cause I am a stress eater and whelping time is good for a 5 lb gain  |

Oops I guess i sounded a little like an infomercial! I was just trying to be precise, I shall try to remember in the future not to name names. My favorite tip is this: Put on your tennis shoes, even if you don't run or walk. Putting on the workout shoes and clothes is half the battle. Once you have the stuff one, the exercise is the easy part. As far as general tips, here are a few; Sometimes it is good to treat the weight loss and new nutritional goals like a new business. Spend time reading running magazines or nutritional magazines for reinforcement, set reasonable goals like you would write a business plan and perhaps run or fast walk a 5k (to begin with). It is really empowering to be out there with a bunch of other people all chasing the same thing; good health and fitness. Take the stairs. Always. Those calories burned really add up! Nuts. Someone else mentioned them. Eat them. Six to seven almonds make a great snack. They are really good and really good for you in those quantities. Water. Water. Water. Drink as much as you can throughout the day. Your body and intestines will love you for it. Carbonated drinks....no. Stay away from them as well as alcohol. Wine was the hardest thing for me to give up in the name of weight loss. I used to drink about two to three glasses a day. Now I will barely have one glass of wine a week. Life isn't any less sweet. |
Still 123 I guess Im at a stand still? or maybe I should lay off my coffee & Bailey's?? Not! this is my escape after my day is over.. well it's better than gaining  |

Just go over what you are eating and see if there is something that could possibly keep you from loosing. At least you didn't gain weight. |

Congratulations on keeping on track and loosing more. Way to go! When it gets closer to the time for the puppies to come, ahead of time put your snacks in snack size baggies and have plenty of bottles of water on hand. Then, when you get hungry, just grab a baggie and take small bites and eat verrrrrryyyyyyy slowwwwwww! Chew each bite a longgg time! Try to think positive because you are doing so well. Don't think negative about the whelping time. Try to stay positive. I'm so proud of you. You're doing great! Congratulations! |
Yippee! I am down another pound for a total of 5! I was so happy this morning when I got on the scale. Megan needed to bring cupcakes to church today and we made them last night. I was feeling kind of grumpy that I couldn't have one. I made sure I only made exactly as many as she needed to bring! this morning they were looking at me with that evil eye, trying to talk me in to eating one of them. I was getting weaker....then I remembered it was Sunday, I had to weigh in. when I saw I lost another pound I was so happy that I suddenly had NO desire for one of those nasty cup cakes! I've found if I really, really, really feel like I need to eat something, I'll eat it. Otherwise, I'll "eat around" it all day, meaning I'll eat 20 other things to keep myself from eating it. then, I would end up eating it anyway! So now, a tiny taste seems to satisfy me and I move on. |

I've lost almost 5 lbs ....yipeeeeeeeeeee - I know I'll see it for sure next month if I keep going like this.... jbarile...the less you have to lose - the harder it is to get off...and at your weight - you don't have too much to lose or you'd be a stick ! |
Well...I lost one more...so I am down a total of 3 so far. Slow going...but at least going right ? :) Congrats to all of you that are losing!!! |
